Dr. Arash Vahid

Beware of Dr. Vahid. I chose to see him based on his reviews online, but before choosing this dentist, make sure ALSO to read the negative comments like mine here (I wish I had done that myself before spending thousands of dollars on poor dental work). I've had a horrendous experience for the past year with this doctor and his office staff. His treatments (a root canal and a crown) were not successful and I was left in pain for months. He recommended an implant with a bone graft (over text messages from his secretary as he does not speak to his patients directly outside of office visits) as a solution but before spending another thousand + dollars, I sought second opinions. I was shocked to be told by two different dentists that his work was not well done and was the reason of the pain suffered (I had an infection at the root canal and the crown was not well done which caused inflammation and bleeding from the gums - he does not use a lab to make his crowns which may be the reason of… their poor quality and fit). The infection was cleared by another dentist and the crown was replaced, and I am thankfully pain-free now. An implant (and a bone graft!) were therefore absolutely not necessary, and I am so glad I didn't listen to Dr. Vahid and spend more money on intrusive and useless treatments. It was a nightmare to get to talk to him over the phone (his office staff is very unpleasant and would not allow me to speak to him directly - it was only after arguing with his secretary that was I able to speak to him). He refunded the cost of the crown but refused to do the same for the root canal. Be very careful with Dr. Vahid (it is my first negative review of a doctor, and I feel obligated to let potential patients know of my terrible experience with him.)
