I went to the Valley Hospital Emergency Room with pain, nausea, and bloating and was diagnosed with a torn hernia and bowel obstruction. Dr. Archana Raman and her surgical partner, Dr. Chidambaram Raman, performed my surgery the following day. Both doctors were clearly highly skilled, and Dr. Archana Raman was especially kind and patient in answering my questions. She ensured I was discharged within four days so I could be home for the Jewish Sabbath, and she was also flexible in scheduling my follow-up appointment around the Passover holidays. At that follow-up visit, she was once again thoughtful and attentive in addressing my concerns. I recommend both doctors highly.

I met Dr Raman in the emergency room at Valley Hospital when I was in severe abdominal pain. She explained my cat scan to me and I was admitted. Her treatment was extraordinary. She checked me thoroughly every day during my extended stay and was comforting and encouraging throughout. She was always responsive to my questions.
