Dr. Arelis Margarita Madera, MD

I've been struggling for years to get my sugar under control. L she didn't mess around. She took the steps with me to the whole another level. My sugar has never been under control like it is today and it's because of her and her staff. To me, she has a rock star status, awesome doctor.

The worst doctor I've ever dealt with and I'm a nurse!!!! My daughter tried to get an appointment. Said primary needed to send a referral. Primary said they sent referral , Madera's office says they don't have it. This went back and forth the multiple times. Office person was rude and made excuses about madera beins busy traveling speaking at conferences.. Finally got in to see Dr. she came across as being nice but made all kinds of excuses about being busy. Nothing really accomplished at visit. two TSH levels later, my daughter goes by herself to see madera and she is told low thyroid and that she is fat. Geez....great bedside manner and maybe the weight gain is due to her HYPOTHRYOID????? Will NOT be seeing this doctor again!! Heed all the other reviews too please.

HORRIBLE STAFF. Cant understand how it is OK to yell at patients through the window and laugh at them in front of other patients. This is the problem with a monopoly. Staff said they called several times to rearrange appointment. No messages was ever received. Letter that was sent said nothing about rescheduling, only call about test results. Which I did and never got a return call. WHAT IS YOUR STAFF DOING? I guess the staff can only use the PORTAL when its convenient for them? Not able to send the patient a message about rescheduling- REALLY??? Just very rude and uncalled for. It makes the doctor look bad. Millennium need to find another endocrinologist for their group. So disappointing.

The doctor is great caring knows her business. The front office staff is the worst. I have been in customer service for 42 years. If I treaded people like they do I would have been walked out the door of my office. if you ask questions they get defensive and hang the phone up on you. They should all find employment else where

Dr. Madera has been treating me for Diabetes for a long time. She listens and has a great knowledge and a way of me understanding her !

My doctor sent a referral to Dr. Madera. Called them and they said the doctor had to review my records. Never heard from them again.

Hi group! Last I posted was asking about Dr. Madera. I received mixed reviews and after talking with a friend that I have a lot of respect for, I gave her a chance. I can honestly describe my visit. The office staff especially Jennifer were nice, welcoming and very professional. I was seen at my exact time of my appointment. Dr. Madera first gave me something to read about the thyroid and offered video material while she finished up with another patient. The information was helpful to guide me in any questions I had. Dr. Madera escorted me to another room for an ultra sound. She asked me some questions and asked if I had any questions or concerns. She performed the exam and conducted an ultra sound. She did this with me facing the screen and pointed out what she saw. She explained to me everything I was looking at. NO ONE had ever done this before. She asked again if I had any questions or concerns. She was not rushing through the exam or talking with me so I did not feel any… pressure. My opinion? Dr. Madera was nothing short of having a great manner, very professional, came across as actually interested in me and overall I would describe her as awesome! I hope this helps anyone looking for an endocrinologist in the future.

When I read my care summary after my visit I was astonished to see diagnoses that were never on my record before. She never discussed any of these diagnoses with me and I had no testing to confirm these diagnoses. Don't know if she got my health care confused with someone else, but I find this very disturbing since it can effect the price of my health premiums. I have written her a letter to have these diagnoses amended.

Has always correctly identified and successsfully treated all of my medical problems.

Never had better care anywhere, (brittle Type 1 diabetic since 1969).
