Dr Eckman seems to care about you staff is friendly but hardly ever answer the phone never call back the pharmacy to renew your prescriptions. you have to park in a parking garage, not the bset

He his the worse doctor that I have every been to in my life. He is rude, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. He refers to people as "you people". Who does this? He doesn't like when people ask him questions regarding their health and etc. What happened to the caring, compassionate doctors...

the office is run very, very poorly. It takes the office 10-15 days to return a call or fill a prescription and in the meanwhile you can be very low or out of your medication, period. I have never encounter this with a physician's office. It appears that either he's hardly there and/or they never pick up the phone and respond to pharmacy's faxes. Terrible!

I went to Dr. Eckman because I noticed an unexplained weight gain of over 20 lbs. First of all, his location is a nightmare. I spent several hours in traffic just trying to get to and from his office in Elizabeth. Streets are always closed or being worked on, and although this isnâ??t his fault, itâ??s definitely something to consider In reference to my weight gain, Dr. Eckman said I was a victim of â??the American diet/ lifestyle.â?? However, he never even asked what my diet or lifestyle was! Iâ??ve been a healthy eater and rabid exerciser for decades. When I asked what conditions (other than unhealthy eating and lack of exercise) might cause rapid weight gain, he said Cushingâ??s disease was the only one. However, according to my research, patients with PCOS also report rapid, unexplained gains. When I brought this up, Dr. Eckman said PCOS only makes you gain 5-15 lbs. However, againâ??I read many reports by women whoâ??d gained much more from that condition. When I… explained Iâ??d been steadily losing weight for a while, only to be stymied by a rapid gain, he said that was NORMAL. I told him that a PLATEAU was normal. Iâ??d never heard of a rapid weight gain without severe overeating and lack of exercise (neither of which applied to me). It turns out I had pre-diabetes (very likely due to a strong family history, despite my efforts to control it through lifestyle). A prescription of anti-diabetes medication started me losing weight again, in addition to bringing my blood sugar levels down. Since I value my health, I will never go to this doctor again.
