Dr. Aria Omar Sabit

Wow.......There are more doctors in jail with impressive credentials. A disgraced cancer doctor, an internist, and now a neurosurgeon. All they need now is the CEO of McLaren -Lapeer region to run the health care for the federal jail system..... That would complete the set of criminals in the health care system

I never choose Dr. Sabit, however, after 6 years of talking to doctors, and having them all say "I don't understand what is going on". My family Dr., that I had seen for 15 years prior, and MAYBE saw once a yr, to see about a cortisone shot in my knee, b/c it was bothering me so much (I tore all the ligaments, disconnected it, have both a bone and joint decease, of course have had surgery and I have 30% disability from the Navy) I never just went in to go, but less than a yr after being struck by a SUV, my family dr. said he felt "I was over exaggerating my back pain for financial gain (he found I had a lawsuit against the insurance company, well duh, we are no fault state, I wanted to make sure my medical bills were paid). However, that statement ruined my credibility with other dr's, and even though I had my MRI, I couldn't walk without AFO's, couldn't feel my legs, but b/c they couldn't pinpoint it to ONE thing they just didn't believe me that I was in pain, I was hit by a truck… for Peers sake!!! Then after having a terrible night, I went to get up, was having huge issues and pain and collapsed. My husband and daughter rushed me to the ER, they did another MRI, called in Dr. Sabit, compared the two MRI'S and found that the only difference was that it had gotten a little worse, for 6 years they missed a 7mm bulge, Dr. Sabit said I had to have been in excruciating pain for the last six years. During that time I was lucky if I got to leave the house 1 day a week, because of the amount of pain, and the effects of all the meds (100 mcg Fentynl plus), after my surgery by Dr. Sabit I was not in the same amount of pain, he said they missed it for so long that I may never get feeling, which I havent. However, my quality of life has definitely improved because of what Dr. Sabit did, and would have done more surgery had this not happen. I also have a friend, he literally saved his life, he was in a horrible horrible accident, but Dr. Sabit saved him. I totally feel for those who he has wronged, especially the 2 that passed because of what he did. I still believe for me and others I know he worked miracles. He obviously has talent, but unfortunately he made a lot of stupid mistakes, putting people's lives in jeopardy for his own personal gain and obviously noone can excuse that, so he needs to pay the price for his crimes. I just really hope I don't, or anyone else for that matter, start to have more issues because of what he did or in many cases apparently didn't do. I wish all of you all the best!!!

Dr. Sabit is a truly gifted, compassionate and highly respected surgeon. All those that want miracles with every surgery and didn't get one are using the negative press to make themselves feel better. True, many lawsuits from people looking to make a quick buck, but it's also true most of them were frivolous and closed. Lawyers jumping on the bandwagon looking to exploit impressionable patients. Pray for him, his wife and daughters.

I am one of his victims. He lied and said he did a fusion put in hardware. HE IS THE LIAR! I spent months in a nursing home because of him. Lost time with my 3 babies was stuck in a wheel chair made to feel like I was looking for pain meds. Like I was faking. Thank God my husband finally after 2 yrs took me to another Dr that told me there had been nothing done ands showed me an mri. Sabit robbed me of 2 yrs with my family. He deserves to rot in prison. He also is the reason my mother is dead. She had stage 4 cancer and he did a massive fusion on her then ruptured her bowel and she died from the infection. So you ppl who think he's great I pray you never find out different in your own bodies or the ppl you love. I would have given him -stars if it were possible.

Dr. Sabit has no concern for your well being and frankly I don't know how he is getting any good reviews other than writing them himself. He has no regard for his patients well being and was only concerned about making money as indicated by owning/and doubling his surgeries in CA by his participation in PODS. His over 30 malpractice suits in CA should give anyone with an ounce of sense a heads up. Yes, these suits did get settled and there could have been more but the people just didn't keep notes on him. Please keep notes! If you use him something will go wrong. And do your homework on this hospital he is at I can't believe they are overlooking all of this. The hospital in CA was also in every lawsuit in CA and was found just as guilty. Yes, I am writing this as first hand knowledge. My husband suffered his surgery "skills" thankfully another surgeon/hospital corrected his mistakes. By the way I didn't even want to give him a star but the program won't let you give 0, which… he deserves.

This man did have talent but he along with those CEOs who financed him became more interested in the money verses the patient. Walk away from him and don't look back.

I honestly don't know why people are complaining... is it because of the previous bad reviews or the stupid articles out there, because honestly, it's all a lie. I had Dr. Sabit perform surgery on me and within a week, I actually felt good as new. He knows what he's doing and he listens and HELPS. Most doctors are not like that, they don't care if you're doing okay or not after a procedure- they just want to go home to their family for dinner. Dr. Sabit doesn't leave the room until all of your complaints are in order and solved. Personally speaking, he's a fantastic doctor who wishes well on his patients.

Dr. Sabot was completely professional and is a very highly qualified doctor. He diagnosed me within the right time range & I never have been happier as he has helped me with the process. I highly recommend him to all.

I went to him once and was completely satisfied with his diagnosis. He was extremely helpful and pleasant. Once he was transported, I booked my flight to his location in order to get a follow up. Listen to me, not to other I only speak the truth. He's a very well educated doctor.

Getting surgery from this clown has turned my life upside down. Dr Sabit wasn't honest about what transpired (revisionist history) and I have come to the conclusion that I made my greatest mistake of my life by going to him. I will never be the same. Don't believe just me (although if you were wise you would), look at what the others say and you will see that there are some consistencies here. I am not the only "victim" and that is tremendously disheartening. I can't believe this has happened to me.Trust issues and damaging results are not qualities that sane people are looking for in a doctor, yet that is what I got, just like the previous posters.
