Dr. Arian S Mowlavi, MD

Dr Mowlavi does not have a good bedside manner. I was left with a disfiguring scar after tummy tuck. He provided no assurance that it could be repaired. He had the gall to recommend a tattoo to cover the mistake. I have major regrets. I could not recommend this doctor

Avoid

The absolute worst! Arrogant and dismissive. Not only am I disfigured from the liposuction he performed on me, I had to have my breasts redone two years after he did them b/c an implant ruptured. The new surgeon told me it looked as if the implant exploded. He also wanted to know why Molavi made such extensive incisions(almost to my armpit). Of course when I attempted to voice my concerns over the horrific results of the liposuction, Dr. Molavi blew me off. Run for the hills.

Dr. Mowlavi should be avoided at all costs.

Rescheduled my daughters surgery twice. The first time they said he had a more urgent procedure, then they changed it to the hospital wouldn’t take patients my daughters age. The second time it was cancelled because they didn’t submit the change of location to my insurance so it wasn’t approved. Then he decided it “wasn’t worth it” to do the surgery so we are back to square one.

Don't miss an appointment here due to the emergency room because the office will punish you by scheduling your next surgery months out. I will update this review if the office is willing to reschedule my appointment before I lose my insurance. As of right now, office is refusing to do any scheduling for me. I've asked my primary care physician to get me approvals for other plastic surgeons that are willing to schedule appointments instead of saying "well, it depends on who else needs surgery". Currently not happy with the office staff. Dr. Mowlavi seems more reaonable but no way for me to talk to him. Maybe I'll write him weekly physical letters, Shawshank Redemption style.

What can I say besides all this awesomeness in this Dr. Is amazing! I love his character and his work is amazing definitely keeping him for all my surgical needs. Dr. Mowlavi is a amazingly blessed!

We've had nothing but exceptional doctors since moving to OC four years ago. That is, until we met Dr. Mowlavi. Very, very unprofessional. Asked my wife questions that you would not ask someone in a bar, and certainly not in a examination room. Didn't introduce himself when entering the room, nor did he say anything when he finished...just left. No post-operative instructions offered, and I had to resort to google to get answers later in the day. No doubt the worst doctor I've ever seen. But don't take my word from it, read the other reviews who had even worse experiences than what I had. shovies

Dr. Mowlavi is amazing!!!!! After a triplet pregnancy plus 2 other single pregnancies this mommy needed help with her breasts and tummy! After having consultations with 5 different well know surgeons in OC, my consultation with Dr. Mowlavi was a breath of fresh air! He listened and took his time explaining everything to me. My mommy makeover was what we decided on. We decided on a full tummy tuck as well as a breast lift and reduction. My breast reduction was tricky, due to the fact I only had one implant that was done 15 years ago. Dr. Mowlavi was confident he would remove the implant and make both breasts the same size. Natural look and something that would look proportioned to my body and Dr. Mowlavi was confident that he would do the best to fit what I wanted. The morning of surgery was also great! The surgical staff were very comforting and after surgery James was always available to answer our questions. The front office staff is very helpful and friendly on my followup… visits. My breast are still setting in and I already love them. My tummy is so nice and flat, looking forward to wearing a bikini again after all these years. I have recommended Dr. Mowlavi to my family and friends already. A huge thanks to Dr. Mowlavi for giving me my confidence back!
