Dr. Ariana April Bauer, MD

Dr. Bauer is everything I'm looking for when it comes to my healthcare needs. She listens to all my concerns and spends time getting to know me and my medical history. She is very knowledgeable which makes me feel confident in my doctor. She told me not to hesitate to call her with any questions I had with new medications. What I like about her best is how personable she is. Highly recommend!

I had a completely different experience with Dr. Baurer. i needed a new primary in the Methodist system when the insurance companies were fighting . I am an old ICU RN , remembered her as a smart and nice resident. She has taken excellent care of chronic diabetes and COPD and a couple crises of bad pneumonia for me. Very nice, Very smart Doc.

Had to look for a new doctor when Blue Cross no longer covered my CHI physician. As a new patient, Dr. Bauer took the time to know me. She is very open to questions and has excellent communication skills. She is very thorough and a brilliant physician.

I was looking for a new primary care physician because mine has cut back hours recently. However, Dr. Bauer was not the answer - she was dismissive and disrespectful. She "diagnosed" long standing medical issues without examining my chart from my previous doctor, doing any lab tests, or examining me in any way. She made offensive generalizations including "hardly anyone really has hormonal imbalances (despite previous abnormal blood test results that I have had); they're just fooled by scam radio commercials" and "more than half of my patients are obese - that's just the way society is today." In turn, though I went in to provide her with my medical history and explore if she would be a fit for me as a physician, she kept recommending commercial weight loss programs and she coded the visit as "obesity," even though that is not why I went there to see her. Because she coded my visit that way, my insurance refused to pay for the visit. I will never return to see her or go back to… Methodist Physicians.
