Horrible doctor who seems to care more about his horses than his patients.

They are overbooked. I waited 45 min parking lot only be told doctor decided not to see me because of my medical history even though I have a main doc but just needed a back up local doc he did not have the courage to tell me to my face... I guess typing up your medical history causes you to be rejected but I did that since they have no medical history questinonarre very bizarre experience and they make you sign you will have to pay if your insurance does not but this is against Dept of justice guidelines to bill a Medicare Medical-Cal recipient... I guess this doc does not want to really work all my doctors love me because I make their job easier for them and am a retired government official but he will never be privileged enough to deserve an awesome patient like me

I feel Dr. Martinez has taken advantage of the fact that he's one of the only latino doctors in the Watsonville area. He knows the latino community will trust him with eyes closed. He overbooks, causing you to wait up to two hours after your SCHEDULED appointment to be seen. And once he does make it to your room, he's in and out in minutes. Who has that kind of time for such an impersonal experience? My family has trusted him for many years. Once my parents started having health problems I started assisting their appointments and he did NOT like me asking questions. He was rude even. Millenials are catching onto you, Dr. Martinez.

DR MARTINEZ IS A GREAT DR DOCTER HE TAKES HIS TIME TO EXPLAIN THINGS AND HIS FRONT OFFICE STAFF IS SECOND TO NONE .....

He really is a nice Doc and does spend the time with you to figure out what's going on and how to get you back on your feet!

I had my appt at 12:45p I didn't get seen till 2p. They over schedule patients and use the excuse the Dr. Is running "behind". When I asked the receptionist how much longer was the wait, she stated there was still the 12p patient ahead of me. Great doctor but the wait time is just ridiculous. It wouldn't hurt to make courtesy calls to inform patients their appts are delayed.

Having lived in different parts of the country, I have been cared for by several different doctors. Dr. Martinez is an excellent diagnostician. As a cardiovascular nurse myself, I became concerned by the development of swollen ankles. I was worried that a cardiac problem was developing. Dr. Martinez instructed me to quit taking one of my blood pressure medications and switched me to another. Problem solved! He always has time to talk about whatever is concerning me. His office staff are busy but efficent. I havew only praise and admiration for this excellent physician.

He is a horrible example, he's obese, he can't speak well (it's hard to understand what he's saying), he has horses all over the place. He has his staff working like crazy. I had an appointment at 11:15am, I was roomed at 12:10pm, and waited 36min in the room. He spent about 8 minutes in total. Horrible experience. Bad doctor!!!

terrible doctor. He sent me to the labs to have labs done. he got the results, I scheduled follow up app and he didnt mention anything about my labs, days after I requested a copy of my labs results and glucose, cholesterol, C-reactive protein were extremely high and he sent home with no concern about it.never come back. I hope people have a little knowledge on how to read lab results and because this is a doctor you cant trust.
