Summary
He began practicing dentistry as a commissioned officer in the US Army. He completed a 2-year Comprehensive Advanced-Education in General Dentistry residency at Ft Bragg, NC, where he received training in endodontics (root canals), implant restorations, and oral surgery. Following his residency training, Dr. Wartofsky served at numerous locations in the US and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He separated from Active Duty after 6 years of service. He also works at the Hampton VA Medical Center, where he works to train dental residents in the surgical placement and restoration of implants, advanced endodontics, esthetic restoration, crowns, bridges, implant supported crowns, fixed detachable prosthesis, full mouth rehabilitation, advanced oral surgery, and the treatment of medically compromised patients.
