Dr. Armand Neal Desanctis JR., MD

Dr. DeSanctis is fine during the appointment, but his process for getting standard prescriptions refilled is unreasonable to his patients and his staff - 2 women in particular - were truly terrible. I left and found a new doctor. Couldn't take the frustration anymore whenever my meds needed to be refilled. (Standard thyroid medications I've been taking for 25+ years.)

I really like Dr. DeSanctis. He's been great so far - I'm a fairly new patient. However, the office staff is completely horrible. They put you on hold for VERY long periods of time, sometimes never come back. They are pretty rude and don't put the patients confidentiality at the forefront. I've been in the waiting room and can hear every single word they are talking about to patients or specialists/insurance companies on the phone, etc. It's a shame because it's a really turnoff and has made me consider finding a new Dr. If I could rate less than 0 on Courteous Staff, I would!

Dr DeSanctis was an exceptional Doctor. He was altruistic by nature,always smiling and positive. He was long suffering and compassionate. Always had time for his patients even remembered family members and ask about them. Then wham, a few years ago all of that drastically changed. He has no time for the patient..your shoved in and out and he does not listen like he should..for instance if you tell him your arm hurts etc he would always check it out or if necessasary have an x-ray. Now he greets the probm like this..if you tell him your arm is sore he is still looking at your chart then without touching you he says do you feel you need an x-ray and cost the government more money or do you think you can deal with it. he rushes you out so fast and your left with a feeling of futility of making another appointment. Life is tough and I have since found out what happened to him...but I never would have imagined he would get through that problem like this. He was one amazing man.

Dr. DeSanctis is an exceptionally skilled, knowledgeable, wise, caring physician who puts his patients first.

Doc is good. Unfortunately the office staff at the Limestone Road location has POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS SKILLS. Maybe I am missing something but without patients, there is NO PRACTICE and NO PAYCHECK for the office staff...

I have gone to Dr. DeSanctis for many years and never had a problem. I also know several physicians who go to him for their medical care. I asked two of them and they both said the he is among the smartest physicians they know. I've been pretty healthy but I've talked with patients in his waiting room who were very grateful for the potentially deadly coronary disease in one case and an aneurysm in another that he diagnosed with the "unnecessary tests" mentioned above. Both of these people said they had no complaints and were being screened for these deadly diseases. He may not be warm and fuzzy but I would rather have a smart doc who will discover something dangerous rather than one who will hold my hand and coo while I die of something preventable or treatable. I suspect that "good bedside manner" often conceals incompetence from the poor patient. Give me a smart doc any day!!
