An excellent doctor. Caring, compassionate, highly skilled. He listens carefully and respectfully and explains things thoroughly. I couldn’t be in better hands.

Dr. Wood once told me that obese people sicken him, and that he hates going to Splash Country in Dollywood because of all the obese people. I find Dr. Wood rude and unethical. During my appointments, he enters with an intern/understudy, and asks me if I have anything personal to discuss because he needs to show the intern/understudy how to navigate the computer. I never felt as if I may speak of my medical concerns. Dr. Wood ignored my symptoms and medical history altogether, saying that if I just try harder and exercised more, all my symptoms would disappear, even though most of my symptoms have nothing to do with diet or exercise. I've seen Dr. Wood for years, so has my mother, uncle, and grandfather before he died of cancer. Dr. Wood (Summit Medical) forgot to give palliative care for two days while my grandfather was dying of cancer. Dr. Wood only talks about my mother during my appointments, not why I am the there.

Dr. Wood is the most knowledgable, professional and caring doctor that I have ever had. He has my utmost respect!

Dr. Wood has been my Dr. for many years. He is a GOD send. every time Im there he makes me feel like Im the only one he has to take care of. When we lost our son Dr Wood was even more caring if thats possible. I tell everyone they should have a Dr. like mine.Its rare to find a good Dr. in this day and time.

Dr. Wood spent very little time with my husband and I . We went to have a yearly physical. While my husband was in another exam room Dr. Wood insisted on giving my husband a tetanus shot. We got the bill and they charged us $190 for that shot. I am in the health care field and definitely know that is an excessive amount for that vaccine. We give it at our office for $50. My husband spoke to the office manager concerning this issue and agreed to talk to Dr Wood. Dr. Wood denied only spending a few minutes with us and refused to give us a break on our almost $400 bill for a healthy check up. I feel this is poor customer service.
