It’s been three years since I last visited this doctor and I wrote a review when this initially happened, but can’t find it so wanted to share my experience again to hopefully help someone else. Arnita Reed and her staff lack professionalism and empathy to a degree that’s honestly horrific. I had an appointment with her in early 2020; I was pregnant for the first time ever and was experiencing bleeding which was scary in and of itself. It wasn’t until I arrived in the parking lot that I remembered I had been to this office several times before in my high school years and the staff was terrible then. I went along with the appointment in hopes things may have changed and ended up regretting my decision SO much more by the time I left. The front desk and nurses were rude from the outset. After waiting in the exam room for a bit, the doctor walked in with a medical student without asking me if I was ok with being used as a teaching moment. During my papsmear, one of her rude nurses and… the doctor herself both laughed at the amount of blood that I was losing while the medical student stood there looking confused and saddened. I was so uncomfortable and angry that I couldn’t speak and I have no memory of any solutions offered. The doctor ordered blood work and when I went to her phlebotomist things got worse. When the phlebotomist tied the tourniquet, I immediately said, “that’s way too tight” because it hurt A LOT and I could tell my circulation was being cut off. She scoffed and dismissively said, “I usually do it tighter than this”. Can’t remember whether or not she loosened it, but if she did it wasn’t by a lot because I could literally feel my whole arm throbbing in pain the entire time. The phlebotomist had that needle in my arm for a good three minutes straight; my blood was coming out only a few drops at a time due to the tight tourniquet. About a minute in, I told her I was feeling light headed and she looked panicked and began trying to reassure me that she was almost done even though she had only finished about three of the six(ish) needed vials at that point. When she was finally done, I nearly fainted. I literally had to take off my crewneck and lay on the floor because I was sweating and extremely dizzy. Half of the office staff came in as if it was some spectacle. They didn’t even have a water bottle in the room where they were drawing my blood so I had to wait for someone to find one for me. One of the other nurses blamed the situation on me because when asked if I’d eaten that day I said no. (I’ve had cases where I needed to fast before an extensive blood test and never had that reaction because thankfully the phlebotomist in those cases was skilled and properly prepared.) I remain in shock and disgust at the way I was treated during one of the most vulnerable points in my life. I wish I could give -50 stars ??

She is very thorough and professional, yet caring and patient. She will take the time to explain your diagnosis in lamest terms until you understand. She will explain your options, address your concerns in a caring and professional manner. Highly Recommended!!!
