Dr. Arnold Steven Berns, MD

this guy is a poor excuse for a human ----- pompous and not to bright. He takes advantage of his patients and is only concerned about his financial gain

Dr. Berns is the best!!! He ordered my fistula before i could use it to prevent having catheter. The previous doctors that i had thought i would need dailysis in few months including Dr. Berns but still give me instructions on how to take care of my kidney no matter what the current function is, by his constant reminders, i began having dialysis 3 years after by just following what he said. He is just an amazing doctor with an amazing secretary. Thank you Doctor Berns. Did i mention he is always ahead of the game? He told me to inlist to Kidney transplant waiting list at Northwestern Hosp. so soon that my waiting time to get transplanted is only 3 years from the time i started dialysis. He is just amazing.

Doctor Berns is excellent, but he really needs to speak with his office manager about not rushing his patients when they have general questions and treating them with basic courtesy. She is not pleasant to work with and always makes me feel like an idiot. She has a very abrasive personality. I dread speaking with her.

I love Dr. Berns, but his assistant needs to learn a thing or two about customer service and speaking to people with kindness and respect.
