Dr. Arnold Watkins Peterson IV, MD

Dr. Peterson is by far the worst doctor I have ever had in over 50 years. He talks a good talk in person, but his follow ups are severely lacking. He prescribed a medication for me and when I started to have bad symptoms, I called the office three times, but he never returned my calls. On another occasion he ordered tests that my insurance didn’t want to pay for, and he never followed up with them to get the tests approved. You never get to talk to him on the phone, only the PA who is also useless. He prescribed antacid tablets for what turned out to be a serious gall bladder condition. He always wants you to schedule an appointment after he screws up the first appointment. I guess he makes more money by scheduling three appointments for the same issue. My list goes on and on, but you get the picture. The staff in that office are also the rudest people on the planet. I made a formal complaint to Northeast Medical Group and I never heard a word from Dr. Peterson but NMG did offer to… find me a better doctor. It was obvious it was time to drop this looser and find a real doctor. Since then I have had other doctors confirm what I already knew about this one.

Dr. Peterson is totally amazing, he listens , take time to explain everything. I am a very apprehensive when trusting a Dr. From the very first office visit I found Dr Peterson easy to talk to, kind caring and understanding.

At first he was great. The first visit I had with him he spent an hour with me to make sure I knew the difference between him & a pediatric doctor, to make sure all my information was correct & to make sure everything was correct. Then, I needed a flu test, he passed me off to one of his assistants which was fine cause his assistant was really cool & helpful. Now, we’ve rescheduled my physical three times (twice for his conference & once for the Coronavirus) & today I didn’t know if I could go or not cause the office didn’t give me a confirmation call or email & they didn’t send me a letter telling me to reschedule it like they did the other times. I decided not to go after a press conference I heard the CEO of Yale New Haven Health give on the news a few weeks ago about how she’s having all of her doctors work in the hospitals non stop during the Coronavirus pandemic. Also, when I called the office I realized they scheduled my physical before the office even opens. Starting to wonder… that even though he’s good with Epileptics, if I should choose a different physician

The front desk and doctor are good, but the staff for records is awful. Lost records, failure to order blood work, failure to return calls, calling to make appointments already made. They do not inspire confidence and have wasted much of our time.
