Dr. A. David Rothner

As a young woman who has been suffering from migraines her whole life, i have been to many neurologists trying to seek help. while visiting with Dr. Rothner I appreciated his help and ideas but every time I came to him for help he continued to suggest the same lifestyle changes every time which simply weren’t working for me. He also made me feel rather uncomfortable by making comments about my body and repeatedly resting his hand on my thigh. He also recently said there was something wrong with me psychiatrically because I keep reporting bad reactions to prescriptions he has given me and saying that my bad reactions just mean that I don’t want help and that they work for everybody else so they should work just fine for me. I would not recommend him to any teenage girl unless you want to leave feeling violated and belittled.

Dr. Rothner saw our son for daily headaches. He was diagnosed with NDPH, which turned out to be wrong. The doctor asked our child questions and arrived at this diagnosis without reviewing any of the information we sent ahead of the visit. The doctor, assuming we were uniformed, was rude to us and our son. He had no interest in having a discussion; he only wanted to draw a diagram and tell us that there was no cause for NDPH and no cure. He wanted our son to join the Cleveland Clinic program for children who suffer from daily pain and start on a special headache diet. I was skeptical of the diagnosis and continued taking my son to doctors of all disciplines. It turned out he had TMJ disorder and sleep apnea. My son was treated by a dentist who specializes in TMD. He wears a daytime mouthpiece for TMD and a night time mouthpiece for apnea. He is now well, healthy, and happy, no thanks to Dr. Rothner.

Traveled hundreds of miles and was quite pleased with our visit. Definitely a busy office and we did have to wait but considering our appointment was over an hour I was ok with the wait.
