Just met Dr Desai today and very impressed. Spent alot of time with me and explained my issues and gave me options. Look forward to getting better!

Solid clinic and doctor. They really helped me!

In all my 20 years of going to doctors, this clinic is like nothing I’ve seen before. Unprofessional, unacceptable, disrespectful, discriminatory, and albleist. I wrote to them about their medical malpractice in an email after being accosted by the receptionist Abby, who is notorious for her disgusting demeanor. I’m taking their silence as a sign of apathy and fault and I have dealt with this terrible office long enough so I’m not going to drop it. The receptionist, Abby, called me to say the appointment is cancelled and that I am being “dropped as a patient” from Dr. Desai. This is less than 24 hours of my appointment. That qualifies for patient abandonment. I asked why and she said that it’s because I missed an appointment, my second one, and there is a “policy” about that (Usually it’s if you miss 3 of them) policy that isn’t even in the policy I signed. Disclaimers say they can change policy at any given time, which is furthering ableism and a gross misuse of power. … A patient coming to the pain clinic is obviously dealing with a multitude of symptoms that could easily have them miss an appointment, such as brain fog, memory issues, and sleeping in due to sleeping pills, chronic fatigue, and insomnia. If I was dropped over this ableist policy, if that really is the reason I am being dropped, I should’ve been notified immediately. I could’ve gotten an appointment to another pain specialist. It‘s patient abandonment and legally the doctor is required to see you until you can find another doctor and especially in the case of informing last minute. “The physician should provide the patient with written notice of the termination along with a valid reason for the decision. The physician should continue to treat the patient for a reasonable period of time to allow the patient to arrange for alternative care from another competent physician. The physician should also recommend another qualified physician. Finally, once the patient has secured another physician, and has signed an authorization, the physician must transfer the patient’s medical records to the new physician in a reasonable and timely manner.” (NOLA) I waited months to be able to see Dr. Desai and had to deal with the terrible receptionists, whom I’ve had to write a review on because no one would listen to me, and I’m suspicious the review, is the real reason I was dropped. I shouldn’t have to deal with unprofessional receptionists who won’t listen to me and my concerns. I asked to speak with someone and the receptionist, Abby, said Dr. Desai isn’t available, and I asked if she can have him call me back, to which she answered, “I’m telling you now, he’s not going to answer.” The disrespect and apathy I’ve had to deal with is despicable. I was so excited for the appointment, after finally regaining hope that I can find pain relief after a terrible weekend of the most excruciating pain in my life. If you’re going to treat patients with disabilities, you need to make accommodations and do better. Or else you shouldn’t be in the healthcare profession. YOU ARE PUTTING PATIENTS IN DANGER WHEN YOU DROP THEM SUDDENLY AND LEAVE THEM WAITING FOR MONTHS TO BE TREATED. I think the office would be significantly better if they hired receptionists who didn’t aggressive and who actually know phone etiquette. Can’t count the number of times I’ve been hung up on. So sad to be living in chronic pain and wait to see a pain specialist with hope and then for it to be crushed by ableism.

He didn't listen to me in any way shape or form. My comments and concerns went in one ear and out the other. My knee was twice the size of the other and he told me that if I needed/wanted pain meds then I needed to go to the ER. To top it all off, he wouldn't even let my wife use the restroom to pee. He said it was for customers/patients only, mind you I had just paid him for the visit so that should've included a bathroom trip for her. Overall, he just didn't seem to care.

First time at Dr. Desai's office and was very happy with the level of professionalism from the minute I walked in. Everyone was very welcoming, was back to my room very quickly. Dr. Desai took his time talking thru my symptoms and also the procedure in depth to make sure I was comfortable. Have passed his information along to friends and family and will continue to do so.

I have been seeing Dr. Desai for about 7 months now. I have had severe joint pain since having chemo in 2011. I had a pain doctor in Houston and had multiple injections with very little relief. Doctor Desai has been able to do injections in different locations that have provided much more relief than my doctor in Houston. He listens before he speaks, He is concerned about my health and well being.

I have spent years trying to find out where the source of my pain in my neck and back is coming from 2 fusions later I still had a pain level that would not allow me to enjoy my family do everyday house work much less work, I stared seeing Dr. Desai we ran all the test I"d had done before but he looked at all of the information collectively and we started working on it.This past summer I was able to take 2 vacations with our treatment plan, medications and moderate exercise we have achieved a balance that I can live with I"m more than grateful for this doctor.

The office staff is very friendly here. Dr. Desai is a very genuine and caring physician that listened to what my issues were and was able to give me answers, when no one else could. I have improved so much since seeing Dr Desai and I am really pleased. Highly recommended !

Got threatened by the office manager because they screwed up for the 5-6th time on just about anything. Forgetting to refill prescriptions, forgetting to order a devise for months, forgetting paperwork and forgetting to call back. The doc was ok but the front office is abysmal. 2nd time threatened and I'm gone. In case anyone is wondering, no, I do urine test normally and am not hooked on pain meds. If anything I undertake them because they keep me awake. Another patient took me aside on my last visit and asked if it was as bad for me because they were getting the run around too. Go if you must but until they get new people in the office I don't see it getting better.

I've been to alot of doctors and he is tops. Why can't they all be like him. His staff is great and got me in quick. He has helped me through a VERY tough time! Would give more then 5 stars if I could!
