I commented about a year and a half ago and am surprised to see the low ratings. I had previously been in care with the Director of the other leading Heart group in Atlanta and was disappointed the low face time. He was good but just too busy. Then I moved to Emory for the more Academic/teaching vibe. I think Dr Q is on target with me as a patient - he takes plenty of time to listen and respond. I went from a a very sick fellow to more functional under his care. I am trusting him with my HEART - and am confident that he has my best interest in mind.

Very unprofessional service and super disappointed from this experience. He does not care about his patients at all and only looks at money.

My observation is that Dr Quyyumi is a thinking man’s kind of guy. I moved over to his care about a year ago from the other highly rated area Heart group. Had a good guy there but not enough interaction. Dr Q has spent relatively inordinate periods of time with me when I have appts. He concisely addresses issues and fully explains treatments, testing and meds . I feel very fortunate to have this man helping me navigate my cardiac issues.

My husband was approached to be in one of his studies for Emory was told that insurance may not pay for it so if in study everything would be taken care of they would switch him to the stint side.He did all that was required of him then when he had to have stints they did not cover anything but a blood test if that. This doctor I do not recommend to anyone.
