Dr. Arthur Badillo, MD

So last year I woke up one morning feeling hot and under the weather but persisted and went to work on Thursday. Got to my desk and realized I was coming down with something and went home to prepare for a cold. Next thing I know I was both hot and cold, would wake up covered in sweat with the bed soaked, and had muscle aches all over my body which left me pretty week. I figured I'd tough it out but my mother stopped by and told me to go to her Dr (Dr. Badillo) and when I finally got to their office, we were in this rather small waiting room PACKED to the brim with patients on a Saturday morning I believe. When we finally saw him after about a 30 minute wait, I told him my symptoms and he seemed focused on me saying that I had stomach pains. So he had my lie on my back and tapped on my stomach too look for pains or whatever. Once he was done, he told me I had Gastritis which I've been told was an inflammation of the stomach lining probably due to too much spicy food - I hate spicy food… and don't eat it.... Needliess to say, I won't be going back and I slide in remarks to my mother and encourage her to be more open to other options for her Primary. I just don't like being told I had Gastritis when I felt like I had the flu.

My mother was one of Doctor Badillo's patients. One thing I find valuable when I came along with her to her monthly visit is his personality. He has known my Mother for years and her brother's go there. He is a great doctor and always treats my Mother well. He speaks spanish very well, and helps my mom and the rest of my family understand whats happening with their health. Whenever someone has a wuestion he is willing to answer using laymen terms so we can understand. I would recommend this doctor to anyone, especially if they are looking for a caring, lively and friendly doctor.

This doctor gave my mother the wrong medication for high blood pressure. He changed my mothers medication supposedly because her blood pressure was high. My mother does not have high blood pressure. He changed her medication, and when she took this medication, she became very sick. She went to him immediately, and Dr. Arthur Badillo told her that she was making believe, that she was acting up. I looked online for the side effects and all the symptoms she had was on the website. The website is drugs.com. The side effects are tightness of the chest, dizziness, fainting, problems breathing and all sorts of other side effects. Dr. Arthur Badillo has done this before. If he has no concern for his patients, I suggest that he retires and let someone else care for the well-being of his patients. This behavior for my mother is inexcusable. Please be aware of this doctor and his practice of medicine. Very concerned in Newark, N.J.
