Dr. Arthur Joshua Berkson, MD

After my second hip replacement I had discomfort that two other physicians could not stop. I was aware of Burt Berkson Ph.D. M.D. and sought his treatment. A few alpha lipoic IVs solved the problem. Then I searched and learned that Dr. Burt had been involved in testing the maximum safe dose in monkeys. My dose was less than one tenth the maximum safe dose for monkeys. In 2013 in the clinic I met a woman with liver damage whose Plano, TX physician gave a few months to live. After a number of intravenous alpha lipoic acid IVs she improved dramatically. Recently she was receiving once yearly ALA IVs and is still doing well. Since then I have met other patients who were diagnosed as terminal and are still living years later. After my first treatments I transitioned to Dr. Burt’s son, Dr. Arthur Berkson. I found him to be a caring physician who is interested in the patient’s life and emotional health as well as their physical health. He monitored my calcium and deduced that I… had parathyroid tumors. I had never heard of this condition but when I searched I learned parathyroid tumors can lead to fragile bones as well as many other health problems. He recommended that I go to the Norman Parathyroid Clinic in Tampa. Their surgeons removed one tumor and continued monitoring. They determined that they had missed a tumor so I had a second surgery. At the time of my surgery that Clinic is the only one in the world which could determine that they had missed a tumor. I have not met such a patient but Dr. Arthur and his late father Burt Berkson, MD, Ph.D reported that 30 or so ALA IVs will reduce diabetic neuropathy. Considering the pain and cost of having a limb removed it is heart breaking that this procedure is not the standard procedure. J. Eldon Steelman, Ph.D. EE

Dr Berkson is extremely competent, and cares for each of his patients in a personal, friendly manner. He spends the time and attention necessary to make sure he understands the issues and prescribes treatment that best fits the situation. His knowledge and practice are right up to date, but his manner is more like a traditional family doctor. I am very happy as his long-term patient and feel lucky to have become associated with him. The office is staffed with the friendliest, most helpful folks you can imagine. Going in for an appointment is like visiting family. Altogether, being a patient of Dr Berkson and his staff is a great way to stay healthy.

I saw Dr. Berkson for four different problems. Two are completely resolved, one is 75% better with only two visits. He treated me with so much respect and let me know I was in charge and he was there to help. He spent more time with me than any dr. ever in my lifetime. I think I've found a dr. for the rest of my life.

Dr. Arthur ranks among the best doctors I have seen--and is perhaps the very top in terms of compassion, caring, and honesty. He has that rare combination of a rigorous intellect and a kind heart, and is both knowledgeable and conscientious. The wait time is sometimes a little long, which is the only reason that category wasn't five stars also. However, this is only because he takes his time with each and every patient in order to give them the best care possible.

New patient appointment was all-encompassing, thorough and not rushed; he listens. He let me know he respected my viewpoint and was there to help me feel better, not just dictate to me what to do. Practices integrative medicine. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Arthur has gone above and beyond in providing thoughtful and thorough treatment. He truly cares about your recovery, is willing to spend extra time when needed, or fit you in for an appointment. I recommend him to anyone facing difficult medical issues, or worse difficult physicians! A true blessing to have a doctor who isn't pushing a certain pill, who actually cares to see his patients HEAL!
