He is a wonderful Doctor and I’ve been seeing Doctor Sunny and she’s been a great doctor as well it’s well worth the wait to see one of them. I wouldn’t want to see any other doctor for pain management as I’ve been to quit a few before I moved to San Antonio Texas and found them

I first came to Dr. Hernandez some 4 or 5 years ago. I like that he listens to his patients and their needs. I've never felt like just a number, or just another patient. I've read some of the reviews left by other (disgruntled) patients and know what they are posting, is just not so. Addiction is a huge problem everywhere, but, there is always help, if you truly want it and ASK for it. Dr. H is only complying with Federal Regulations and in turn is helping his patients. I would wholeheartedly recommend him and, have done so and will continue to do so. EC

At this pain clinic it is the absolute best. I am tested on my levels of pain and treated accordingly. He carres about his patients and follows up with your other doctors to prescribe the best treatment plan for you. Its busy here but well worth the wait. I got injections on my back on recently back and finally able to sleep on my back after weeks of pain. I wouldn't want anyone else. I recommend my family and friends to him.

Great Dr

This was my sons pain Dr for at least 20 years- due to a back surgery. After years of opiods, methodone, and every kind of prescription you can imagine- my son is now on the streets getting his drugs, because of being abruptly cut off. How can these Dr.'s sleep at night? How can big Phrarma not be held accountable. Families are lising their kids to CPS and ordinary decent people are on the streets! They should offer in house rehab to all the ones whise lives have been destroyed.

I have been going to dr. hernandez for many years. Every year it's the same thing. He over-prescribes, then changes your medication on every visit. If you say the meds are working, he changes them. Then once a year, without warning, he cuts everything you were taking down to almost nothing. Not sure if he wants to see if you are addicted (he also specialized in addiction medicine and maybe he needs more patients for that side of his practice?), either way it is unfair to patients. During this once a year cut down, he will walk in and look at your meds and say, 'no that's too much', then he will take everything away and leave you with barely nothing. I guess he forgot that HE is the one who prescribed the 'too much' meds in the first place. I don't know if he is in trouble with DEA or what, but his methods seem to be driven by his fear of something. I've never been to a doctor who does this. Patients are supposed to trust their doctor, and before this, I did. I feel like an idiot… for actually thinking he understood and cared about my pain.

They have the rudest staff. I don't like seeing the lady dr there she doesn't understand what I am going thru! The pharmacy always calls them but they never do what the pharmacy asks or calls them back so I don't get everything I need. I've been told I would get a treatment for 4 or 5 months now & everytime I go in they have another excuse of not starting it. I'm in severe chronic pain. I need help if he can't or doesn't want to be bothered with me I will go to someone who will no matter how far he's 45 min away in the worst area the office is dirty the staff is rude they have so many signs hanging up about don't call do t talk to them don't ask when your next because u have been there for 5 hrs already waiting on this skanky room with some shady people I just can't wait to get home & shower after being there. I've only been going to him because I want to see him he is knowledgeable of my disease the lady is not. She says the same thing over & over & doesn't get I can't drive & I can't… walk well she isn't knowledgeable about my disease I even offered to buy books for them to get a better idea how bad I suffer from this. I like dr Hernandez but not the staff the lady dr or the long wait! Be ready to wait 5+hrs depending on the time of your appointment

Best pain doctor I have been to! My second and last pain doctor I will see. Wait can take time as each individual requires insurance clearance for visit to determine copay, as many switch insurance, lose insurance etc. I left last pain doctor for the very reason of not clearing procedures or med's with procedures than next visit suprise...! Owing up to $300 before being seen that day! Also, doctors do not rush through visit with you or any other patient at Dr. Hernandez' office! So the more people keep going up to window to bother staff, that slows things down as well. And why would you schedule a visit to a doctor's office the same day as another important appt.? My last pain doctor on Northside took time as well to type in all important info since last appointment! I and my husband appreciate the way the office is run and how accurate doctors try to be at diagnosing from what the patient tells them. Keep up the EXCELLENT WORK!

4-6 hours waiting.

Dr. Hernandez is the first Pain Management dr to listen to my problem and prescribe me with medication that was right for me (without just handing me a prescription of hard medication "opiates". I am finally "clean" and enjoying my life once again with the right medication for my problems.
