Dr. Arthur Itkin, MD

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. He was absolutely no good. He does not care about his patients sadly. It doesn’t seem like he knows much about his work either. I am so happy I got a 2nd opinion with another neurologist. My new doctor educated me on what I have and my treatment plans. You will not be on the road to recovery with Dr. Itkins. Only thing nice was his staff and they were helpful.

My first appointment with this care provider for my migraine headaches was a very poor experience. My headache questionnaire was not even looked that. I was only asked about the number of migraine days and whether or not I exercise. I am in my mid 20's and I was told that I am "too young and forgetful" to be prescribed medication. Only based on the number of migraine days (which is about 8-10 a month). I was also told that "it is not that serious". I was only told to keep exercising and given a chart with dietary triggers that you can easily find online. I even indicated on my questionnaire that dietary triggers are not a factor when it comes to my migraine experience. I finally got a prescription after arguing for one since over the counter meds do not work for me and I have missed days of work, school, and other activities due to migraines. The receptionist was also extremely rude and made me feel as though I was not welcomed here. I will not be returning and will be going to another… neurologist to see if they can better help me with my migraines.

I was scheduled to see Dr. Itken by my workers compensation for a IME exam. The exam at doctor Itkens office was a hour dive for me which was very difficult to do after arriving I had another 40 min wait to see him. Then I went to the exam room and he gave me a very brief exam with a attitude that he is the great one. checked my reflexes and said you can get dressed now. Dr. Itken gave me a return to work report how can he make that decision in a 5 min exam after my doctor says surgery is required.

Beware when you are seeing dr. Itken for a IME he will have your report already done when you get there very rude doctor works 100% for the workers comp. He will give you a short exam that he already has the answers for and say you can return to work.

I had to go see dr. itkin for a workers comp case. Dr. Itkin will give you a very bad review with a very Poor exam. just to be paid by the insurance company to say your OK to return to work.

Be careful with this doctor if you are going for an independent medical exam for a workers comp case he knows every thing about you before you get there he works for the insurance company to say their is nothing wrong with you Your exam will be fast and useless for you waste of time but it is required by the insurance company

I have been seeing Dr. Itkin for over 8 years. I have all my faith in him to help me with my condition. Spasmodic Cervical Dystonia. I need ongoing treatment. His staff is great.

He works 100% for the WC provider and not the patient. Beware!

Dr.Itkin misdiagnosed my MS relapse. I was concerned about symptoms I was experiencing and he told me they were normal MS symptoms. After seeking a 2nd opinion I was admitted to the hospital with 6 new brain lesions. My currant doctor said he was irresponsible with his treatment. Dr. Itkin's nurse is rude and awful to deal with. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR. IF YOU HAVE MS!
