Dr. Arthur Kavanaugh, MD

This is one of the worst rheumatologist I’ve seen in my 17 years of seeing rheumatologists all over the globe. I have zero idea how this man is the leader of the department. He does not listen to patients. He says he read your medical records, but is lying because he will say things that are demonstrably not true if you actually looked at my medical records for a few minutes. I have been his patient for 3 months and have never had an appointment where I spoke with him for more than 5 minutes.

What a clown. I reported him to his medical director who referred to him as "brilliant." After I picked my jaw off the floor I asked her to check out this hacks reviews. He is hurting people and an ignorant and arrogant lazy doctor. I guess he psychically determined nothing was wrong. I told his director this was not scientific in any regard and she claimed that what they do is "follow their instincts." So there you have it from the top of the food chain, they do not believe in science. I can go around insulting people and acting like an idiot too, that definitely wouldn't show much to anyone but a lack of confidence and security. This guy is a joke. You could get better answers from a psychic reading. Seriously.

I left the office in worse shape than when I got there! No diagnosis or a single test done!

Absolute worst Doctor I've ever seen. He was very rude and authoritarian. My primary doctor told me to not ever go back to him and referred me to another rheumatologist who did a full exam, ran all the right tests, diagnosed me, and started treatment right away.

A complete Waste of time! Drove 160 miles (round trip) he did nothing! Just babbled...no blood work, test, nothing! The only thing medical he did was listen to my lungs. No, follow up and throw out a diagnoses based on what?

I have arthritis in many joints. This condition has radically increased over the last few months to where my pain is at 8,9,or 10 depending on what I am doing. Dr. Kavanaugh did not address any of this even after I told him is now extremely difficult for me to get up out of a sittling position or to walk any distance. I have Parkinson's. The only comment he made was re the number of meds I am on. So he prescribed 2 more. First one is an antibiotic even though I do not have an infection but because it sometimes seems to help some people who have arthritis. And don't give up on it because it can take 1-2 months to notice any effect. The second Rx is a pain killer, but I have to call my neurologist to see if it is OK for me to take this med. And come back in 4 months. My neurologist said ABSOLUTELY do NOT take this med (Tramadol) because it will interfere with one of my Parkinson's meds. Vicodin or percoset or several others would be OK but NOT Tramadol.The appointment with Dr.… Kavanaugh was a waste of time. He left me to suffer without hope for 4 months. He brushed off my request to consider cortisone injections for relief. He gave no explanation. I will find another doctor.
