Dr. Arthur Joseph Lim, MD

Visiting this urologist is a waste of time, zero patience and zero communication skills as a specialist, I received my urin test results with not enough explanations. He wasn’t able to fix the issue.

Went in with my father after he had a stroke to get a catheter removed and he said he can’t go on his own without even an examination and said he’ll set up a nurse to change it every month. He seemed more upset that my father was on blood thinners so he can’t operate on him. He said come back when his a fib goes away and when I asked him if that was possible he said no. Not funny after my father had a stroke and has issues understanding. He said that now he has to live with UTIs which is marginally better than having an operation that would make him bleed out. Seriously, what’s wrong with him?? This guy is the worst and is of no help whatsoever. Definitely won’t be back, do yourself a favor and avoid this very unprofessional provider.

Dr. Lim is honest and to the point. He understands patients need relief fast. He fixed my prostatitis within two visits.

I was referred to Dr. Lim by my GP following an undefined prostate issue. From my first meeting with Dr. Lim he was an honest and direct, very much a no non-sense type of person, which is exactly what I respect and appreciate, particularly in this instance. He asked good questions, encouraged my questions and did a great job 'dumbing down' my issue in terms I could easily understand. After two visits, my issue is 100% better. While I hope I never have to see him again, he has my full endorsement and I would go back to him in a heartbeat. Thanks, Dr. Lim!

I hope my visit with Dr. Lim was just an abnormal day. He did not read any of my charts, left after coming in for 5 minutes to then go and read the chart. Trying to figure out reasons for pain and discomfort, I was told he can't anything by him yelling "What do you want me to do!?" Was told I am not telling the truth after trying to explain past kidney procedures, all of which are in my chart that he said he did not like to read. He did not like to read other doctors notes... More issues occurred in the appointment including using vulgar language. I am in shock that this was a doctor and hoping that he was just having a bad day. Whatever it was, was unacceptable and unprofessional. Save yourself the time, money, and upset and go elsewhere.

I really like Dr Lim. I am very comfortable with him. He has a great bedside manor. And he put me at ease. I have major white coat syndrome and I was not afraid. Nice caring man.

I walk into every doctor's visit with my little notebook, ready to write down everything I need to know and do, ready to have a conversation. The doctor told me, sorry I can't help you and I'm not sure I know of anyone who can - wait, you don't have or know of any laparoscopic surgeons in Charlotte NC and are unwilling to look? And your not willing to engage in specific questions about diet reguarding my issues? Won't even start the conversation? I'm about as nice and polite as it gets, this guy? He's there for the cash he can make in the 3 minutes alloted - not for his patients.

Dr. Lim treated me for a urology situation followed by surgery. He gave me direct advice from the beginning, was very patient, answered all my questions and made unexpected calls to me. My surgery was a highly successful experience with the best outcome. Dr. Lim and his team were amazing. They worked quickly and effectively to diagnose my cancer and get me referred to an excellent oncology team. He has a great bedside manner and is very thorough and precise with his findings and recommendations.

Dr. Lim was knowledgeable and has a great funny and direct bedside manner. I had a painful kidney stone and he was able to schedule me for surgery and remove the stone quickly. He's the guy to see when you are in trouble.
