Dr. Arthur Edward Palamara, MD

Not sure what doctor the previous reviewers met, but it was definitely not the guy I met. He had his mind made up from the moment he walked into the exam room and didn't change it no matter what I said. He wouldn't even have looked at some test results if I hadn't pointed it out to him that they were in the exam room. He took 3 phone calls while seeing me, and although he apologized for it, he still took the second and the third. He seemed more worried about talking into his little machine that transcribes his voice into the computer than to listen to me. He would start talking in the machine while I was still explaining what was going on, so he would be talking over me and not really listening. Sent me home without diagnosis and told me I had no issues, which my symptoms still beg to differ. No referral elsewhere either. When I scheduled the appointment, it took almost 50 minutes on the phone as the nurse, who sounded older, seemed completely overwhelmed by entering the… information in the computer. She questioned me 4 or 5 times about my medications dosages because they were not in the list in the computer (â??are you sure that's right???â??) and implying that I was either stupid or didn't know how much I took of each, and even asked me to bring them in so they could look at it, which I did not. The younger staff at the office were nice and helpful. He was probably a good doctor at some point in the past, but all in all, it was a waste of time and money, as the doctor seemed more interested in coasting into retirement than treating, or at least digging deeper into my issues.

Is very caring, concerned about both treatment and quality of life. Takes time to listen to the patient and uses common sense in determining a treatment plan. Brings a sense of years of experience and competence into the room.

Dr Palamara is a dr that takes time and cares. stands out that way to!!

Willing to listen, incorporate patient preferences into his treatment. Was willing to use surgical glue instead of sutures to close incision!
