Dr. Arthur Malkin Stember, MD

I had an appt with this dr as his cv says Internal Medicine...I went to have a cancer wound tested for infection and he ended up throwing me out of his office and said I was a "nut"....he stole my papers I had with my purse without my permission and had his staff copy them and this after he threw me out .....he was abrasive, abrupt, callous, acted in contempt towards his profession, very rude and loud...I am a terminal cancer patient and went for a culture to be done and sent to a lab...thats it....thats what internal medicine doctors do....I pay, he provides the service that he advertises......his staff was highly apologetic, the wait time was about 30 minutes, the office was clean, but he refused to treat me.....I am a terminal cancer patient and my doctors are out of state.....this is not a doctor

I have been a patient for several years and I find Dr. Stember to be very informative and really take his time to discuss my health and options with me

If you are looking for a doctor that will actually listen, keep looking. Moments after telling him that I recently had a lumbar puncture done, he was examining my back and kept prodding the place I had the needle stuck into my spinal canal. After me wincing and him having a look on his face like “why does that hurt you” I informed him, again, that I had a lumbar puncture done. Dr. Stember just goes onto say “It happens.” It does not happen if you listen to your patient!!

I have been looking for a primary care doctor than I can trust and that takes the time to listen to my concerns. Dr Stember was very thorough and kind. His office staff was friendly and attentive and on time. He was able to quickly schedule additional screening and appointments with specialists. I am surprised by the negative reviews as this was NOT my experience at all. I was very pleased with his level of care and concern and with his staff.

Super rude doctor. Knows what he’s talking about but does not care about the patient. First impressions: I walked in for my first appointment and saw a plaque on the wall in the waiting room saying he is also an animal doctor. He does not take anytime at all to look at the patient or talk to the patient. He also takes forever to fill a prescription and requires you to see him each time you need a refill. But when he sees you there’s nothing he does except write a paper. The staff is very rude as well. I would stay away from this doctor at all costs!

Has been my doctor over 15 years. I am a retired critical care RN. He is no nonsense, has an extensive referral system and twice when I had critical admissions to the ER he was there. No he will not refill your meds when your mother is the patient and you aren't. Waits are very unusual. Most of his patients get appointments if not that day or within 48 hours. He does not suffer fools. He does not fill out paperwork that is your responsibility. He has very competent staff for the job they need to do. He does not need an RN nor an AP. As for a computer, He is taking notes while listening to you. Give him a chance to assess the situation . And his notes can be sent to a specialist along with labs tests via the internet to save time. And he can access the results of your tests and xrays that you have had done. As for cost of visits, ask before you come. Bring your insurance cards and make sure they are up to date. Bring your co pays or a credit card that is valid. Offices do not… run on no money. Sorry, next time vote for those who support national health insurance. And if you can't make an appointment, please call and let them know. This is not a game folks. People need care and if you just don't bother to cancel then yes you need to cover the time for being rude to the others that need care. So if I've hit a sore spot with you, TOUGH. Health care is not TV. Yes you are under stress but he is trying to gather information to help you. You've lost out on a wonderful DR. Ruth Creery

Terrible rude office and nasty rudest doctor I have ever come across. Uncaring in regards to your surgeries ! Charges high prices. And fees when needing to cancel appointments. Poor reputation with having to consult with other professionals. Changed physicians. No longer a patient there.

I would not recommend Dr. Stember. He is very rude and inappropriate.

Dr. Stember and his staff are the definition of incompetent. My son was assigned to their care by our insurance carrier. After fighting for two weeks to have my son seen by the doctor I was told at the last minute that Dr. Stember refused to see my son. When I call the office to get a reason I was essentially told "because the Dr. said so". No one could give me an actual answer. The office manager that got belligerent with my wife refused to even speak with me.

We fired him after misdiagnose and lack of compassion. Is more interested in typing on the computer than stopping to discuss serious problems. A huge disappointment. His nurse (9 week medical course with no skills to speak of) was a joke.
