Dr. Arturo Gomez Prada, MD

I have been going to Dr. Prada for three years. He has a wonderful staff and is very thorough. I mentioned his name to the kidney team and they all said what a wonderful doctor he is. I highly recommend him to new patients.

Dr. Prada genuinely cares about his patients.

We waited 2 hours after our appintment just to get some measurments from the nurse. Then waited another 30 minutes. The Doctor finally showed up and spent 15 mins to gave my wife a wrong diagnostic and wanted to send her to the emergency room and have her intern for 5 dasy just because a potential small infection that he didnt even look at! Then we decided to take a second opinion from 2 differentsr Doctors that confirmed that my wife did NOT have an infection and that saved me thousands of dollars. Today I received a bill from this guy, 150 USD for 15 minutes, that´s right, 10 dollars per minute. Honestly I am thinking I shold send him the bill back plus the bills of the 2 Doctors that really took the time to check on my wife. He is supposed to be a top Doctor in Detroit area, what a joke!

He is very professional and respectful. The waiting time is more than hour, so I have to move my appointments to Saturdays.

I can't speak to Dr. Prada's expertise in kidney care. He was my mom's admitting physician at Crittenden and in that context he was terrible. My mom spent a dicey 4 days in the ICU for post-cancer treatment staph infection and I never saw Dr. Prada once. For the remainder of her 10+ day hospital stay he checked on her fairly regularly but never spent more than 5 minutes speaking with her. Dr. Prada's big contribution to my mom's care was to tell her "you're looking better today sweet heart." I can't wait to see the bills for his services. If he is your admitting physician do your self a favor and ask to be switched to someone else.

no long wait for an appointment, quick out of the waiting room to be seen. Very knowledgeable physician, and you can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Prada is not only a specialist for Nephrology but also a specialist for Internal Medicine, was able to see the whole picture, not just symptoms. Additional I've got good follow up on my tests! I've feel well cared for and would highly recommend him.
