Dr. Arun Agarwal, MD

My DLCO was low on annual PFT's over several years. Dr Agarwal told me this was my "normal" and did not request any further testing or look for a cause. He told me my condition was stable and I did not need to do an annual PFT, again even though I have an auto immune condition affecting my lungs. A few years years later I have developed asthma and my DLCO is even further diminished. I trusted this doctor but I should not have. I went to a new pulmonologist who was APPALLED that a chronically low DLCO was never followed up with further diagnostic tests to determine the reason, especially in an auto immune patient. This doctor's negligence is unforgivable and completely disregards ethical standards of care.

Very nice Doctor knows his stuff.

Not only was there no exam whatsoever, he got boilerplate report all wrong. He said "I don't have time, all the doctors do it". Misleading and harmful to say the least.

I understand when a Doctor tells you they really can't help much, but it's another thing when they seem uncaring, not engaged or disinterested. Saying this while walking away..sad!

Arun has been my primary care physician for over ten years since I was diagnosed with a pulmonary condition. I trust him completely.

Dr. Agarwal is one of those rare doctors. He gets to know his patient and treats the person and not just a disease. I only wish there were more doctors like him. He is a truly kind and compassionate physician.
