Dr. Arun Krishna Kolli

Dr. Kolli is my favorite EP physician. He is a consummate professional who truly cares for his patients.

Took my mom in to see him. She has seen him for many years and he has always said she needed a pacemaker. This appointment we were supposed to go over test results and if needed schedule the pacemaker surgery. He was incoherent, wouldn't finish sentences, and wouldn't answer direct questions. The entire appointment he kept touching and rubbing his gentials. I politely asked him what exactly he was recommending becuase he inferred my mom's heart was strong and healthy, so I was confused if he still recommended the pacemaker or not, but he wasn't answering in a way we could understand (I'm a neuropsychologist so I am not daft - he just wasn't making sense). He then got upset stood with his arms crossed and came towards where I was sitting. He said because of 'this interaction' he would no longer be treating my mom. I have no idea what set him off or why he got so upset. We were just asking simple questions on what he thought was best to do next. The questions were run of the mill. I… asked what he thought was causing my mom's arrhythmia and he acted like I was insulting him. I only wanted him opinion because my mom is disabled and she doesn't usually understand what he tells her, so for something as important as a pacemaker, I was trying to be sure it was the right option for her and I was trusting him as the expert. He never once clearly stated that he thought a pacemaker was the best route only got agitated when I asked questions then denied to treat her further. My mom and I just cried when we got to the car because he was so rude and we were utterly confused as to why. Please avoid this doctor if you are female.

My husband didn't like the medication he was prescribed for A-fib. His ophthalmologist could tell he was on it by looking in his eyes.While we were in the office Dr Kolli stated he was could switch him to an alternative medication, Multaq. When we stated our concerns he then said he would not prescribe it and the only other option was for my husband to go into the hospital to switch his medications. Dr. Kolli sent in the request for the Multaq anyway and didn't tell us. My husband is on 5 different medications and we didn't know any better when the pharmacy called to have us pick one up. So we paid for it and left. When we called the Dr's office for his hospital instructions they said do not take the medication he was prescribed. The office tried to claim nobody from their office every called it in. It was clearly in their notes because they asked if he was still on it when we went in today. I asked Dr Kolli about this and he stated he sent the prescription while we were in the office… on the previous appointment. How is this possible when he was talking to us the whole time? I know how it works, our primary care uses a tablet to send requests to the pharmacy. But if we tell him we don't want to do take that medication and opt to go into the hospital why would you call in something you don't want him to take. I asked to be credited on our account since it cost me $45. His response was he wouldn't change his notes and he would not do anything. It made me very angry that he would not accept any responsibility for this and was very condescending. Its obvious they do not know what they are doing and treat patients horribly. This was the first time. We switched from another Dr at their practice in hopes it was just 1 doctor. It isn't they are all that way. We will be looking for another Dr. Do not go to Dr. Kolli or Tri-City Cardiology.

This dr is terrible. He didn't know the answers to any of my questions and told me medication wasn't going to help me and that I should go talk to a psychiatrist or back to my thyroid dr. (there is a chance my heart problem could be thyroid related)..even though my regular cardiologist in his office wants me on medication. I would not recommend him to anybody he has no bedside manner, is very unknowledgeable, and needs to find another line of work

As a new patient, I was early for my appointment - the doctor saw me at exactly the time of my appointment. He did not seem in a hurry with me, but exhibited concern, which was appreciated. He was pleasant, explained everything, and made me feel totally justified in coming, although my b/p and pulse numbers had come down. I totally recommend him to anyone.
