Fantastic DR UNTIL he was NOT. Accused me of being rude after paying the 110$ bill (WHICH I STILL PAID) for the 1 minute phone call for RX refill last month due to covid. He did not tell me he had planned to charge me that amount until this month. When I complained , he out right hung up on me. His receptionist did so as well. Told me to go find someone else. I expected FAR FAR BETTER from this man.

Everything negative written here about him and his thug office lady is the God's honest truth.

Specialist in neurology?! Give me a break - he didn’t even know what parsonage Turner syndrome (my current diagnosis) was. He also diagnosed me as bi-polar and I told him (as a trained marriage and family therapist) that I have never had a manic episode in my life. Also, I told him I didn’t want to be prescribed any medication with a side effect of weight gain. I trusted him, until I noticed I had gained 20 lbs and then looked up the side effects of the medication he prescribed.... the second side effect on the sleep medication action he prescribed was weight gain. He is a fool just playing with peoples brains. Don’t trust him. He should be deported. He has no expertise and just plays expert. Find someone else if you’re considering psychiatry. Seriously.

Dr Patel is a kind dedicated and professional man who has literally saved my life.

Highly unprofessional. I was very dismayed at how I was treated. I was new to area and needed to establish care with a new physician. I made an appointment with Dr. Patel. After waiting many weeks, I showed up for my first appointment but no one was there. No one called me to cancel or reschedule. I got there at 7:00am and waited for some time before leaving. I called office and explained what happened to office manager. She was defensive and said they called to confirm the appointment the day before but I didn’t answer. I confirmed that she had the right phone number on file. I then checked my voicemails and call history, and I did NOT receive a call. I explained this to manage who was unapologetic or sympathetic. I asked if they could fit me in for an appointment within the next few days. She said she would check with the doctor and call me right back. I never heard from his office again. This left me in a precarious position, scrambling to find another physician and waiting again… for an appointment.

Dr Patel is the best he listens and cares. Only part of Texas I'm going gto miss it the weather and having a nice docror that cared

He is a lifesaver for me

Dr. Patel is all about money. He spends a total of 10 min. with you. He gets his prescription pad out and writes prescriptions without explaining your situation and why the drugs will help. He charges 100.00 and doesn't file insurance. He has you coming back weekly at first, then every 3 months. He doesn't like for you to ask any questions. Also, when you call his office, he never returns your calls. I was so glad to leave this doctor. Other PCP doctors always refer him, because at one time he was suppose to be the best, and they are not aware of his changes and how he runs his office now. Nichole is worthless, and I think she tells him what to do. I always left his clinic more depressed than what I was when I came.. He's very rude and disrespectful. There are other doctors that are much better than him in Lubbock. I suggest you check around

The most amazing psychiatrist and doctor in the world. Dr. Patel LISTENS reflectively, and makes you feel at ease and...NORMAL. He will make room in his schedule for you in a moment's notice and doesn't get irritated when you call with emergencies. He is funny and kind, and recommends drugs that really work, and will do everything in his power to find a drug that works for you, while also respecting your decision to try to go off meds for a while. Dr. Patel knows his stuff, even if it is not related to mental illness. Dr. Patel has been a god-send for myself as well as my family, and I will be forever grateful to him. I will never find a doctor as great as him, and I highly recommend you give him a try.

These days I am doing great. Several years ago when I hit a rough patch, he came to his office on a Saturday to see me. If Ihaven't been able to get right in to see him , he returns my calls promptly. His protocol and the medication he prescribed for me have allowed me to live a normal life. His office staff are always pleasant and respect my privacy.
