Dr. Arun S Sawardekar, MD

I've known this man since I was a toddler & I would recommend him to anyone! He was always so welcoming to not only me but to all families, he made sure you felt comfortable while waiting and while being taken care of. He's honestly the best! My child will be seeing him come 2016!

Most memorable: When I was a first time parent, after going to several doctors (7+) and emergency rooms with a very sick newborn, where I was repeatedly told my child was not ill just colic or being a new mother that I was over reacting to my child's screams of pain, I called Dr. Sawardekars office. Immediately I got an appointment. Was not in the patient room long before he called for an immediate upper GI. Within hours of that my child and I were at children's hospital of Pittsburgh meeting with a large team of surgeons. The next day my child had a surgery on his large intestine. The screams that my child made were very much screams of pain. His intestine was in a large knot. My child could have died had it been ignored any longer, not only could he have developed gangrene or have had to lose his intestine. That was 18 years ago. My child is and has been doing very well. I continue to this day take my children to see him. He is attentive to my children and I. Listens to all they… have to say. My oldest child stops in , just to say hello. My children trust and love him just as I do. I tell everyone I know I would not change him for the world. He is like family. The office staff is also great. Very friendly, happy. They love children, joke around with the kids and know them like family. I do not know what I would do without such a great, loving, friendly support system . When my children are sick I call and they always squeeze us in. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY NEGATIVE ISSUES OR DIAGNOSIS WITH THIS OFFICE. Bottom line If you feel like your being ignored or that your concerns are not being met, make an appointment cause you wont get that from this office. Had I continued to listen to the other doctors who felt I was ignorant or over reacting, my child might not be here today. True Fact. The wait time would not let me click less than five minutes. Only a handful of times did we ever wait five or more minutes and that is in 18+ years. My children have never waited more than ten minutes.
