Dr. Arun Jyoti Singh, DO

I fear that this doctor is in the local emergency room. He never did any tests while I was in the ER (except bloodwork), assumed without looking at my diagnosis that I was lying and refused me pain medication for my condition (which does and always has required pain meds). When asked why I wasn't receiving proper pain management I was told it was because I had been to their hospital a lot (6 times) which makes sense considering my condition. Even with the patient advocate who is aware of my condition, and the nurse asking him to medicate me (because they could see I was in pain) he refused. He had no bedside manor and was quite rude even raising his voice while I, in pain, remained calm. He then came in the room after all the other hospital people tried to change his mind and discharged me against my will (I said I didn't want to be discharged and was unstable, he said he wasn't admitting me) and with that I was out in the cold with soaking wet clothes (I sweat during my illness).… I've filed a complaint with the hospital, am making an appointment with the head of the ER, and will be contacting the Department of Health about this doctor. The rudeness of this man, the lack of compassion, the improper care and discharge without a second set of vitals, and the fact that he knew nothing about my illness but was unwilling to look at the information sheets I had on said illness made this the worst ER visit of my life (and I have had many experiences with doctors who don't medicate for the last 4 years of my illness, this guy takes the cake). So I go to sleep tonight hoping I don't need the ER tomorrow for this illness because of the slight chance I will see this doctor. The fact that I was discharged without a set of vitals and without being stable should alone show you that this doctor does not care about his patients. Good luck to anyone who has to see this doctor in the future.
