Dr. Aruna Baratham, MD

I’m so happy to have her as my Dr. for my Rheumatologist she is informative and her choice of medicines has really improved my condition a lot I used to think pain was just my lot in life. Since seeing her I actually have days of no pain. Thanks Dr Baratham.

Dr Baratham goes over all of needs and listens to what you have to say. She takes each issue you have and addresses them to see what type of care she can provide.

Dr. Barathem was very professional and and courteous. She as great in explaining to me and my husband exactly what was going on with my symptons. She took her time and answered all my questions I had at the time. She was very interested and concerned and tried to ease my mind about possibilities. My only concern was It took too long (according to what I thought) to get my blood test results to me. I will not hesitate returning to her for treatment if needed even if it is a 200 mile round trip for me and my husband.

I was bounced from specialty to specialty and from doctor to doctor to try to understand why I was in so much pain and had such severe arthritis in my knee at 28 years old. I lived in a lot of pain and with a lot of fatigue and random symptoms that were treated individually for 2 years before Dr. Baratham. Dr. Baratham took the time to listen to all of my symptoms and diagnosed me with Lupus. She started treatment immediately after diagnosing me and follows up regularly to see how I am doing with my medications. When I call with a question, I get a call back within an hour from her nurse. I am feeling so much better and I am in much less pain, without pain medication. Unlike most doctors, she listens and takes the time to understand what is going on. She does not interrupt and she does not just wave off your pain. She has empathy and makes you feel like you have someone in your corner to help you fight your disease.

I have been seeing Dr. Baratham for one year. We have tried different medicines and dosages to address my problems with success. There is no quick fix to health problems but Dr Baratham truly listens and the result is positive. Of course, there are expected flare ups with arthritis and she make adjustments in my meds to address this. She is not a Dr that is going to give you pain meds but a Dr who will give you the attention and medicine that is appropriate. Thank you for making my life livable once more!

I have Lupus, have had it for many years. I moved from another state and selected this doctor to be my rheumatologist. Not only did she question some of my diagnosis for arthritis from my previous high rated doctor had me on, but she increased meds that should not have been increased, and stopped others abruptly that were working fine. She also wanted to put me on steroids when I told her I don't take them, and can't take them. Then told me I had a slight bladder infection POSSIBLY, when really it was my kidneys being effected by the lupus. She never did any range of motion tests, when questioned why she didn't, she said, OK, bend over and touch your toes. Really?? Then instead of getting a blood panel done, as a new patient, you should check the whole system, she didn't. She ran 1 specific test that shows I have very high inflammation. SHE DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. She did a urine test, but DID NOT TEST correctly for LUPUS. Instead told me I might have a slight bladder… infection with no symptoms. SHE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO HANDLE LUPUS PATIENTS. DO NOT GO TO HER!!!

I am extremely pleased with the care and attention Dr. Baratham has provided. She has minimized the extreme pain I was in allowing me to perform most daily activities. This without pain meds. I highly recommend her to others with the diseases of arthritis and osteoporosis.

Dr Baratham is a caring and soft spoken physician.the office staff is courteous and prompt. I would strongly recommend her.
