Dr. Aruna Sahoo, MD

I see dr Arjuna Sahoo. Not a great experience for me. Long waits up to an hour before I was put into exam room and had to wait longer. This happened 3 times so far, and have never been physically examined or even asked anything about what strenuous work I do for a living. I was not helped in any way. The dr spent less than 8 minutes with me each time and hasn’t done a thing to actually reduce my excruciating pain. She refuses to sit and talk to me about my condition, and runs away when I try to ask questions. Seems very indifferent for a pain specialist. So now, on top of my pain and suffering, I am barely able to run my business and earn a living. I am depressed… I feel lost and helpless and I often wish it would all come to an end. I saw a large poster in the waiting room that spoke about patients being thrown out and or arrested if they misbehaved. I couldn’t understand what this was for until I was blown off for the third time by this dr and felt so irate and cast aside that I… finally understood that poster. This practice has you come in and waste half your day and does absolutely nothing to ease your pain. It makes you feel miserable about yourself because they belittle your agony by dismissing it, and then they run away to the next patient who they will undoubtedly let down. I cried after my last appointment, wishing I could see another dr instead, but then I’d have to start all over again. I am losing faith in the medical community and wondering why I’m paying a fortune for insurance when it is all just a hopeless scam.

I understand that the government pressure has made pain doctors job very difficult. However, if you are a pain specialist and automatically refuse to write narcotic pain medications how is that not being pretty ignorant to your patients needs? I have permanent nerve damage from hernia mesh. I have been a Guinea pig for every medication possible to help nerve pain but none of them work. I'm 33 and had surgery when I was 22. The pain has taken everything from me. I went to Dr Sahoo looking to improve my quality of life but she told me because of my age and her being afraid of the DEA that she would not write scripts for pain medication. I continued to see her for injections and they only helped for hours. What am I supposed to do in the in between? You take an oath to help your patients but if seems that oath is only up until pain medication is involved. Maybe you shouldn't be a pain doctor if you refuse to write pain medication prescriptions

She's awesome. Really cares about her patients. Very compassionate. Good sense of humor. Cares about the entire picture.

If you are a difficult or complicated case, get a more experienced Doctor. Experience counts for a lot. She didn't know what to do so just referred me to another dr.

I have never been to a better doctor. She took the time to listen to, put together a treatment plan and got all the necessary tests done in less than a week. I had two injections and feel better that I have in years. I would send my mother to her!!

I have seen several local pain doctors and it is always the same. Long waits, being treated like I am searching for drugs and hustled through the place like cattle. Not at Dr. Sahoo's place. The place is clean and the staff is so nice and professional. They even have this nice old lady walking around offering coffee and tea! Dr. Sahoo, listened to me and opted to put in a spinal cord stimulator. I am pain free and taking no meds!!!! She is a great doctors

I have seen Dr. Sahoo on several occasions and have had a wonderful experience. She and her staff are warm, caring, and compassionate. She quickly diagnosed me with RSD when other physicians were at a loss. She took the time to explain my disease. She has done several injections and send me to occupational therapy. She has changed my life! I would highly recommend her.

She is very nice. Very upfront about things. Told me that I have a problem that she might be able to fix - made no promises. Met with a nurse and social worker. They could not have been nicer. After years of using meds, this woman did some injections on me and I sent me to PT with this guy Brett. I can not believe how good I feel. I regret seeing the quack I was seeing for the past 3 years. They even offer you coffee! Staff is great. This is a world class medical practice. Dr. Sahoo saved me. Downside, I did wait 30 minutes to see the doctor.
