Dr. Arundhathi D Halappa, MD

i have had a couple visits with her and what i can for sure say is, at least i can understand what she is saying. she is 1 of 2 doctors assigned to the clinic i am assigned to. so far it does appear she is reluctant to listen to what i am wanting care for. she seems to have her own agenda and although it may be what she feels are the issues that need to be addressed 1st. i feel she could at least explain that. 2nd i am in much pain and she has yet to address this. i have yet to hear a diagnoisis. i have been seeing her for the better part of 6 months now. i will update this review as needed.

No compassion

This doctor is rude and with her collecting her degree in India makes me question her competency as a real doctor.. She does not care about patients. Keeps sending me out for partial tests like she is not sure what she is doing and still cannot diagnose me nor help me in any way until she gets the test results back!!! Says she thinks it may be fibromyalgia but I don't have those symptoms and will not refer me to a specialist until she gets lab back.. She says nothing ever so I am always leaving there with no insight as whats wrong with me. Golden Valley Health Centers will hire anybody. And when I act distressed she suggests a counselor...Really? This is quality health care? I FOUND THIS TODAY ON ANOTHER WEBSITE WHERE THIS DOCTOR PREVIOUSLY WORKED AT AND WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO IF THEY SEE THIS DOCTOR!!! Dr Halappa was my sister's primary for a few years. I remember Daniela telling me all the time that her back hurts badly. She complained to Dr. Halappa… many times. The reply was: Walk it off. It's all in your head. After about a year of pain and debilitation, Dr. Halappa agreed to an X Ray. One of the vertebrae in Daniela's back was completely eaten by cancer. She died two years later at the age of 50. See her at your own risk.

Please do not waste your time see this woman. She is very rude, immature, incompetent and just lacks care for people. I met her yesterday for the first time because I was looking for a new doctor. From the moment I met her she was uninvolved with my care, she just did bare minimum. I asked her to do blood work because I hadn’t had it taken in a while. She got so upset over it she just walked out of the room. The worst part of the experience is that I could hear her talking about me to the assistants outside the room.

Honestly, if I could rate 0 I would. This so called doctor has messed up my fathers medication SEVERAL times. His first visit he complained of chest pain and she didnt even listen to his chest and he ended up in the hospital 3 days later with lungs FULL of fluid and has pnemonia. She does NOT deserve to be a doctor at all. I feel sorry for any person subject to her so called care!!!!!!!

I was one of her patients at Sheppard AFB Hospital. She was an EXCELLENT family practice doctor, and we patients really, really missed her when her residency was completed. She was thorough, accurate and caring, even though she was swamped with patient load (Military hospitals are notorious for assigning more than a thousand patients to one doctor!). I wish she was still here -- she could be getting experience in geriatrics! ;-)
