Asata Kamara AGNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a noteworthy and highly experienced medical professional with over 20 years’ experience as a Doctoring Prepared Nurse (DNP) as well as 9 years’ experience as a Certified Adult Geriatric and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Kamara has vast experience in the treatment and management of anxiety disorder, mood disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), insomnia, and schizophrenia. She also has immense experience in the treatment and management of chronic diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes types 1 and 2, among other chronic illnesses. Over the course of her career, Dr. Kamara has attained the remarkable milestone of having served as a preceptor and mentor for more than one hundred graduating nursing students.
