The last person I would suggest for care. Short on empathy and helpfulness, besides poor communication.

I am a new patient with asthma and allergies. Dr. MeKonnen helped me to develop a health plan to manage my asthma and ensured that I had enough refills to manage that plan. In the meanwhile, I had heaviness and mucus in my chest. I visited four different doctors, prior to Dr. MeKonnen, who all proclaimed that my chest was clear. My former pulmonologist even brushed me off by saying that the lungs don't hurt, so it was not his area of expertise. Dr. MeKonnen asked me key questions and prescribed a Z pack. My chest immediately open up and the mucus began to come up. I feel so much better! He was the only MD who ventured further than a "clear chest."

Dr Mekonnen's telephone service is unacceptable. Both my pharmacy and myself have tried to get a prescription refill authorized since Monday, Aug 10. No answer or telephone is hung up on you after waiting in the queue for 5 minutes or more. Most of the time the telephone is not answered, but hung up on the first ring. I am still tryimg to get my sleep medicine re-authorized. Hans Oser waiting for Clonazepam!

In my case he did a comprehensive diagnosis of my multi-year sleep apnea issues, inclusive of A Home Sleep Apnea Test, as well as an Overnight Sleep Lab Test. Subsequently, he advised me on sleep hygiene, and prescribed a BiLevel CPAP Device. His professional knowledge and care are exemplary. I am sleeping better now than I have for many years.

One of the best doctor I have met in recent years .His professional knowledge and care and compassion for his patients is beyond anything I ha experienced in recent years.You leave his office as if everything is solveble .You live with optimisim and hope .
