Dr. Asha Misra, MD

The negative review that I was just told about and the positive review with the heading ‘3 GENERATIONS’ both just came to my attention. The negative review referred to shocked me and the fact that Vitals has kept it active for months is totally inappropriate. I agree, wholeheartedly, that the negative review about Dr. Misra has absolutely NOTHING that applies to Dr. Misra’s exceptional expertise as a fine and well respected doctor. The negative review is obviously a vindictive smear! It pertains to a subject totally disassociated with Dr. Misra as a Pediatrician and the fine physician that she is well known to be. It is also a review that I totally disbelieve. VITALS IS A DOCTOR’S REVIEW LINK AND NOT A LINK TO SMEAR a doctor about a subject matter other than a doctor’s expertise ‘as a doctor.’ Inappropriate review for this link should be removed immediately. Dr. Misra is a fine, caring, exceptional Pediatrician. I have known Dr. Misra as the excellent and well respected doctor that… she is for decades. She is respected by her piers, patients, and community! I have referred many patients to this fine pediatrician because I know from my own experience that she is exceptional. Moms, dads, and their children love her. She is an excellent diagnostician. She goes above and beyond for her patients. She deserves five stars and not some random smear about some random disassociated subject matter. A doctor’s review is meant to be about a doctor’s services AS A DOCTOR! Note to Vitals: Placing such an inappropriate review, totally unrelated to a doctor’s expertise, is totally UNACCEPTABLE and goes against the guidelines for a doctor’s review. This link is meant for reviewing a doctor’s expertise as a DOCTOR! Certainly NOT a contractor, handyman, electrician, plumber or whatever! Inappropriate review should be removed immediately. I am shocked and disappointed to note that Vitals has kept this review on-line for months. Knowing Doctor Misra well, I frankly believe it to be a poorly written piece of fiction. Vitals must be more attentive to ‘rules and regulations’ of a doctor’s review and keep the link proper as it is meant to be which is reviewing a doctor’s expertise and office. Five more stars for Dr. Misra!

In response to the Oct 2020 review, that stated nothing about medical competency, I would like to state our families' trust in Dr. Misra. The person refers to a renters claim of neglect and the untidiness in the office surroundings. It appears she never used Dr Misra as a health care professional. I have known Dr. Misra for 30 years and she has taken care of my family from birth to the present day. She has gone above and beyond caring for my children. There is a reason why she is named the best pediatrician in Newport Beach. The forum this person has used is not applicable. One only has to read the 5 star reviews of dedicated patients to this site and realize that a personal attack is not warranted against such a dedicated Doctor.

Dr Misra is not following COVID prevention requirements! I first met Dr. Misra as my landlord; she seemed polite, very friendly, although she didn't listen well. What I discovered dealing with her on a life safety issue at our home is that friendliness is fake. She doesn't take health or safety precautions, codes, or laws seriously. I would never trust her as a doctor for anyone I love. She has several rentals in Corona Del Mar, and I rented one for my daughters and myself. I am posting here because of the outrageous, unsanitary, and hazardous choices she made with my family, and I know she is a pediatrician I would ever trust with my girls. Besides telling me that the exhaust fumes going into my home were safe, she came to my house with my daughter, took her mask off her face, and wore it around her chin while walking up and down the stairs and touching the handrails. After eleven days in a hotel, I moved because I don't trust her to make repairs to the home or provide a safe place. I… had to file a complaint, and the City of Newport Beach sent a violation because they found the house wasn't safe. Only then did she make corrections. Even though she agreed to my move and promised to refund my security and pay my expenses, she will not talk to me, pay me, or even ask for clarification on any items. She hasn't looked at the house or inspected it. She keeps telling me she is busy and will get back to me in a day or a week, then does nothing. I do not trust Asha and never would with the health of a loved one. Asha is the most unethical person I have dealt with, and I work in the construction industry, so I deal with lots of bad people. She doesn't listen, looks for the easiest and cheapest path, not safe or legal. Asha smiles to your face and stabs you in the back. She is going out and about without a mask and then going into her office to see patients. Please be careful. I do not recommend any dealings with Dr. Misra or Asha Shukla (the same person). There were sewer issues with unqualified workers and an electrical outlet that caught on fire. I finally realize she has no intention of ethically handling this situation, and I will have to pursue legal remedies.

Dr. Mirsa is the best doctor around. She always give the child and parent her undivided attention. She’s not quick to prescribe medicine which is great. She provides alternative options which is hard to find in Orange County. She also has the best bed side manners and really cares about the child. Dr. Mirsa also is one of only a hand full in Southern CA that we’ve found that will work with families on alternative vaccine schedules. Most doctors push to get them all done as directed by government but she worked with us on separated them out more for our daughter.

Is always concerned for her patients and can communicate simple, precise instructions to worried parents.

Dr. Misra is an exceptional Pediatrician. Always knowledgeable and precise, always kind and gentle, always accommodating. She personally follows through with a telephone call to 'check up' on her patients and is wonderful about returning calls in a timely manner.She is one in a million. I appreciate the opportunity to write a review for Dr. Misra. I recommend her without reservation.

We are so lucky to have chosen Dr. Misra as our son's pediatrician from the day he was born. It baffles me how someone so busy can be so attentive. My son is now one year old and I've taken him to see her six times (including two non-routine visits). She will follow up with you, even after hours and on weekends. Her staff is professional, friendly and always helpful. Also, I've never had a problem getting a last minute appointment when my son is sick.
