Compassionate and knowledgeable. Cared for my son like her own.

Love her and hope she stays in practice a long time. My daughter feels the same. She just graduated college 10 years after being treated by her for T-lymphoblast leukemia at Stanford.

She was a junior colleague for 5 years before my daughter became her patient with MDS. I just want to say that, whether as a fellow (adult) hematologist or a mother dealing with a difficult diagnosis, she is really everything you could ask for. Beyond that, a good listener and super- humble about what she knows.

She was not my physician but she made me feel safe and she explained things much clearly than the others on her group. This helped me survive a really difficult transplant. Now I am cured and back at home and so gr8ful 4 the care I got! She finds the things other folks miss! Did it 4 me a few times.

Really cares about her patients and explaining treatment issues. She has practically become a part of my daughter's family over the years.

There was a bit of wait to see her but she is very knowledgeable and has wonderful bedside manner. I would see her again for certain. She diagnosed a gynecologic emergency I had and referred me straight to the ER and the ER doc said I was very lucky this MD caught it as it was going to rupture. I had been seen by 5 other MDs in same group with different diagnosis like acid problems etc...I was still feeling bad and she was the only one who took the time to do a good pelvic exam! Thank God.

Very compassionate and knows how to convey difficult news...I had to hear about my child's cancer returning and I could not have made it through the news and all of the treatment again if not for her!

I would highly recommend Dr. Pillai as she spent a great deal of time and effort to explain my child's illness and the plan for her treatment. She is very compassionate and knowledgeable also.
