Dr. Elshinawy is an outstanding physician. She truly cares about her patients and spends the quality time necessary to address individual needs and concerns.

Dr Elshinawy is a very caring doctor.

Dr. Elshinawy is an excellent doctor; she takes time with me, looks me in the eye and discusses my issues or concerns, she is not dismissive at all. She encourages me to set reasonable goals to help improve my health and because they are reasonable, it really makes me want to strive to reach them before my next appointment with her. I highly recommend Dr. Elshinawy.

Dr Elshinawy was the first doctor that ever spent 90 minutes trying to get a handle on both my medical history and my current issue that was preventing me from breathing normal! Dr E was so thorough and impressive I left feeling better and was well in less than a weeks time, i felt so much better. I could not give a doctor a higher rating and referral value than Dr. Elshinawy and I urge you to consider her only for your own benefit!

Got a â??polysomnography reportâ?? produced by Ashgan Elshinawy after an expensive sleep study at the Sleep Center of the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. The â??reportâ?? looked like a standard form that logged select readings from the various monitors I was hooked up to. It then drew two conclusions in a â??diagnosis:â?? 1) Primary snoring with no evidence of apnea. 2) Hypersomnia. I take no issue with (1) except to say my wife has observed my not breathing at various points at night â?? especially when I lie flat on my back. I understand, however, that the condition does not occur every night. The conclusion I suffer from (2) hypersomnia, or excessive daytime sleepiness, was flat wrong. I have never suffered this, and probably never will. Hyper? Maybe sometimes. Hypersomnia? Definitely not. Ashgan Elshinawyâ??s â??diagnosisâ?? appears based on one factoid. I was asleep 10 minutes after the Sleep Centerâ??s technologist had finished hooking me up… to the various monitors. Here is my explanation for falling asleep within 10 minutes: 1) This was after 11 pm whereas my normal bedtime is typically 10 pm (I start work at around 6 am) 2) I always fall asleep quickly, helped in part by some measure of red wine. This was not taken into account because I never met or spoke with Ashgan Elshinawy. Dr. Elshinawyâ??s entire â??reportâ?? is woefully inadequate. It lacks detail and does not go beyond a small selection of sleeping statistics and platitudes as to what these might mean. The first page of the â??reportâ?? appears a standard, computer-generated form with standard language that leaves blanks for inputting select sleep statistics. The second page has 30 words under â??Diagnosisâ?? and Treatment Recommendationsâ?? The â??diagnosisâ?? (10 words) notes â??primary snoringâ?? and â??hypersomnia.â?? Dr. Eshinawyâ??s treatment recommendations total 18 words, more than half devoted to a call for a â??follow-upâ?? and â??further evaluation.â?? The motive appears more visits, more testing and more fees. I was stunned Ashgan Elshinawy charged an additional $355 for this â??reportâ?? (in addition to the University Medical Centerâ??s $9,231 bill for the sleep study itself).
