Dr. Ashima Madan, MD

Very rude, sent my son to Emergency care just for a fever due to strep throat. She does not even know throat swab can done at the Clinic, basic thing we have to do at emergency care. If there are no Pediatricians left in this world, go to Dr Ashima Madan.

Very poor treatment but expensive and on top of it, multiple bills sent for same treatment. we decided to change Dr

She is not nice and just care about money.

They just claimed multiple times to insurance company and for their mistake ask you to pay.

Racist and unprofessional doctor. During the past few years she made it quiet obvious that we are not welcome in her practice…at one point she gave me the contact info of another doctor who will take my child over from her…she even wanted to call that other doctor right away….she was that eager to get rid of us. When I told Ashima Madan that the recommended doctor is in San Jose and I do not want to go to SJ because we live in Mountain View (residents for 20+ ys) she just shrugged her shoulder and said ”well, you have to go to San Jose”. I was speechless how rude she was and felt like this whole situation had never happened if we were ‘preferred race clients’…we immigrated to this country from Europe 20 ys ago and she made us feel we don’t belong here… I often waited 30-50 min. in her office however, I always had appointment …..while other clients got in and out right in front of my eyes…one occasion after waiting 25 min. in the lobby I was waiting another 35 in exam room #1 while I… heard 3 sets of clients flowing through exam room #2…and I had appointment... It felt like we were getting extra amount of humiliation from her so we will decide to leave…but when she realized we won’t ....so she just simply refused care for my son when he had 102 F fever (when my child needed care badly)....just because my son didn’t have one single shot out of the 20 sg. scheduled shots…that was her reason …..one single shot which was just a ‘reminder shot’. So, this was Ashima Madan’s way of getting rid of my family….think twice before you commit to her.

ASHIMA Madan (Healthy Start Pediatrics), OMG...I wish there was a zero star option. Terrible experience with this 'doctor' ...pays zero attention to kids...always in a hurry ...We were always rushed through general check ups...no time for questions...no personal attention...Ashima Madan overlooked a serious medical condition for my son, she was the last one to realize what was going on ...and she was quiet surprised. She refused to send out referrals when I asked her to do so just because she thought we will be declined for that treatment anyway...(so, why even bother? Really?) I often had to fight when I needed something from her...After a while I just started to avoid her at all cost....I felt terrible when we really needed to go to the check ups...We feel that her whole behavior towards our family was discriminative and offensive and disrespectful...never had such a bad experience from a doctor. It's a shame she calls herself a pediatrician...she does not deserve this title. Find a… better doctor for your child.

*Quick but needed review* After being being Dr. Madan for over 11 yrs and her being the only pediatrician my children had ever had it was shocking and disappointing that she all of sudden suggested we find another provider closer to San Jose. Dr. Madan by far is a excellent Pediatrician and that is the reason it was worth travel as well growing comfortable with her over the years, yet the rudeness became more and more boldly outspoken and the more her medical office grew the more she began to suggest we find someone else and even handed me a refferal of someone she knew personally. In my heart I knew it was due to our ethic background which is african american and that not being her client-base but I refused to leave due to the consideration of my children. Although Madan continuously had a high turn over rate with front desk help and medical assistance we learned to not get attached due to she had someone new every 3-6 months and this unprofessional is such a small office, yet… the thorough work and medical advice is what allowed me to look past all the rudeness, bias she displayed upon my children and I. Since then we have moved to another state and she treated us as a weight off her shoulder's when requesting my children's immunization records so eager she bypassed Medical Release Authorization form, very insulting again but happy my family is now getting the equal care but in a more positive atmosphere and caring Dr. that welcomes each visit with the feel he is honored to have us as his patients! Work ethic is=A+ Friendliness=F Professionalism= F

I wouldn't choose any other doctor for my child. Dr. Madan is so patient and caring. She is the best pediatrician my daughter has ever been to.
