We had the best first visit for our daughter with Dr. Chogle. He explained her diagnosis to her in a way no one else had told us before. We thought we knew everything that is about her condition since we had seen other specialists but he knew more. He has made our daughter feel a lot better with the vagus nerve stimulator called IB Stim. Our daughter had that device placed on her ear for 4 weeks. We are now the happiest parents on earth! God bless him and his wonderful nurse Coco!

Dr Chogle is the smartest “out of the box” doctor I have ever met. He is able to listen to the symptoms and put information together in a way that you only see portrayed by actors on TV. Seriously. He was able to diagnose not one, but two rare disorders in my child (that 10 other doctors missed!). One of them just from her history of having rashes. He is a wonder and the only complaint I have is that he only sees children. Because of his careful and correct hypothesis about my child, we were able to see the right specialist (who after testing and lab work confirmed his hypothesis) and now my child will have access to treatments that were never before available to her and (Lord willing) might actually cure her. Don’t walk, grab your kid’s hand and run to his office as soon as you can. It will be the best thing you could ever do for your child.

The doctor is very compassionate and knowledgeable

Dr. Chogle was very thorough and compassionate towards my daughter. I love the fact that my daughter was comfortable enough to be open and honest with him. He spent more than hour with us and took the most detailed history. He is the first doctor who did not roll his eyes while my daughter was describing her symptoms. He also reviewed her past reports and gastric emptying scan with us and told us more than what was written in the reports. He then pieced together all the information that we gave him to arrive at a diagnosis. He made sense of all the varied symptoms my daughter was having and finally gave us an answer. We both were in tears at the end of the visit. This was our best doctor’s visit ever! We wish we had seen him 2 years ago when my daughter started having symptoms. We have seen 3 Gastroenterologists since past 2 years and were left hanging to fend for ourselves. We now have a detailed road map ahead of us for treatment. In our online searches we found that he is the only… pediatric gastroenterologist around who specializes in abdominal pain and nausea in children. He also has published a lot of research articles in those areas. He runs an abdominal pain clinic at CHOC and works closely with dieticians and psychologists. He had his social worker Karina immediately reach out to us to help us with my daughter’s difficult school situation. We are very thankful to have found him as her doctor! He is just amazing!

Dr. Chogle is the only doctor my 4 year old daughter trusts! His caring nature and calm demeanor has a soothing effect on my daughter who is otherwise very distracted during doctor visits. She loves him so much that she actually told him during our last visit that she would like him to be her daddy! LOL! Her GI issues have improved tremendously due to his treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Chogle and I think he is the best gastro around!

We have gone through a lot of GI doctors, and Dr. Chogle is the absolute best. If it weren't for him I would have switched hospitals. He's a critical thinker, a great communicator....I gained so much every appt. that I go for him for my daughter, and when we move out of state, we'll actually be coming back just to see him, because I can't even imagine a doctor being an improvement to Dr. Chogle, that's how great and expert and helpful he is, and I wish that all doctors were as present and awake and aware and in the moment and as caring as him.

I was seeing a Peds GI doctor for the past 3 years for my daughter who was not gaining weight. Tired of not getting results I switched to Dr. Chogle. On the very first visit Dr. Chogle sent labs to check for pancreatic issues leading to malabsorption and diagnosed my daughter with low pancreatic function. She is now on pancreatic enzymes to help digest her food and has started growing. He has ordered tests to check for the cause of the pancreatic malfunction. How I wish I had found him earlier in my search for answers but better late than never. Dr. Chogle was very patient and answered all my questions without hurrying me out of the office. I would also like to mention his staff at the clinic who was very courteous and made my daughter feel very special by writing her name on the paper roll that covers the exam table. She was very happy to see the drawing of a princess and her name next to it.

My son has mild autism and Dr Chogle is the first doctor who treated him like a human being. I have taken my son to 2 other GI doctors for constipation and they could not help him. They blamed his autism and told me that he might never get better. Dr. Chogle gave me hope and connected well with my son. He actually took the time to speak to my son which has not been done by his other doctors before. As a result my son hugs him every time he sees Dr Chogle in clinic. After getting him all cleaned out and starting him on laxatives, this is the first time ever my son is able to stay clean from poop accidents and passes a poop every day. It did take a few visits to adjust the medicine doses but finally we got it right. I tried filling up a comment form in the clinic but was told that they don't have one so I decided to write a review about Dr. Chogle online. For me there is a difference between a healthcare provider and a healer. I think Dr. Chogle is a healer and therefor I wholeheartedly… recommend Dr. Chogle to parents looking for an excellent GI doctor.
