Dr. Ashish Verma, MD

My doctor retired and so I went to Dr. Verma since he was in the same office as my old doctor hoping he would have access to my old records. I was having a problem getting a perscription filled since the insurance company was requesting a pre-authorization. Dr. Verma failed to provide the information requested by the insurance company. They needed an A1C. I called the office and requested he call in an order to get an A1C performed. My call was never returned and the order was never called in. As a result, my pre-authorization was declined. He was aware my blood sugar was between 400-500 (which is dangerously high) since at this point I was off my medication for 2 weeks, and he just really did not seem to care. It is a consistent problem at this office that calls are not picked up and messages are not returned. As a result of his failure to respond, I ended up in the ER.

this is the worst doctor i,ve seen he,s so stuck on him self very rud a** jerk ..i would not recommend him to my worst enemy ..REALLY .he told me not even god could help me with my diabetes so wrong of him to down my god grr..not wasting my time on that a** anymore !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had Dr. Verma as my doctor ever since he came to Sturgis and took over the practice of another one of my favorite doctors. Dr. Verma has always taken excellent care of me and my family. He always takes the time to find out if there is anything else we need to discuss before moving on to the next patient. I would highly recommend him (and have to many) I work in healthcare and I have seen good and bad physicians. Dr. Verma is over the top excellent.
