Summary
Dr. Ghaffari attended the Medical College of Virginia where he studied dentistry and then orthodontics. Dr. Ghaffari graduated in the top of his dental class and received numerous academic commendations for his excellent performance and outstanding service to the community. While at MCV, he received grants to study the genetics of tooth eruption, as well as the effects of the Medicaid program on orthodontic outcomes.
Although humble about his achievements, Dr. Ghaffari has received numerous accolades and awards both for his skills as a clinician, but also for his ability to think critically in taxing situations. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and has extensive experience with difficult interdisciplinary cases as a former member of the VCU Craniofacial/Facial Reconstruction Team.
