Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, MD

Completely unprofessional and arrogant. Staff and doctor will say and do anything for a deposit, but once they are done with the damage, will never contact you again. Doctor promises more than what he is capable of doing, then overcharges for the quality of his work. He left my nose crooked and nostrils uneven, and my face looked better prior to having my surgery done by him. I have talked to other women whose noses he had botched too, and wish I would have done more research prior to booking my surgery with him. Excellent marketing, but lacking in ability and ethics.

I flew in from San Francisco to meet Dr. Ghavami because I've seen great posts on his Instagram. Thats the reason even the $500 consultation fee didn't bother me. It would anyways be included in the treatment cost. Before even talking to the doctor, I had my mind made up that I would get my procedure done by him. But in this rare case, my confidence in the doctor reduced after speaking with him. He barely spent 10 minutes on my issue, he didn't even show the after picture. All he told me was to not expect even nostrils. I regret ever stumbling across his name.

The staff was nice enough , which is why I hesitated to write a negative review , but I just want to help people from making the same mistake I did . I put in my research and had a lot of consultations with different doctors . I chose wrong , and I don’t want to pay for Ghavami to perform a re-do.

Veryyyyyyyyy good surgeon!

Primary septo/rhino resulted in poorly functioning and unnatural looking nose. Post surgery my nose looks worse than before as tip is much rounder (like a ball) and my nostrils more flared and the alar creases are deeply grooved (more on one side than the other). I addressed these issues with the doctor the first two years after surgery but he dismissed my concerns as 'swelling related'. He said to give it more time. I gave it another year and my nose still looked flabby, shapeless and unrefined. Near year three he finally agreed that my nose needed a revision but shortly before surgery he changed his mind. His reasoning was 'it's not that bad'. Not too comforting considering I spent thousands of dollars to look 'not that bad' (and worse than before). He thought I was being too picky ...as if it's unreasonable to expect a nose to look better after rhinoplasty? During this time I thought my breathing difficulty was swelling related as well but once that subsided I still had… difficulty. I've since learned that my breathing problems are a result of the surgery. My left alar wall has collapsed and a recent cat scan revealed that my septum is still deviated and my turbinates are atrophying (empty nose syndrome). Every day I regret having had this surgery performed by this doctor who is not an ENT and in my case is questionable as an aesthetic plastic surgeon.

I had my nose done with Dr. Ghavami and absolutely LOVE my new nose! My nose fits my face and looks like I was born with it this way.

Dr. Ghavami performed revision Rhinoplasty on me after the first doctor did most of the work. I was satisfied with the first doctor since he removed the hump on my nose but did not do any sort of lift. When I met with Dr. Ghavami he seemed more than confident in his skills and advised that he would fix the problem and give me the lift I wanted. A few weeks after the surgery I met with Ghavami and I asked why my nose was now tilted towards the right? He said to give it some time, that it would take longer to see the complete results of revision surgery. A couple of years later my nose is very obviously tilted to the right and it has left me very self conscious. Very unhappy!!!

It has been a year since my rhinoplasty with Dr. Ghavami. I must say that they work that he did was phenomenal, however I was not pleased with the actual doctor himself. He barely spent time with me, and was late to the actual day of my operation! During my follow up, 2 days after the procedure, he was extremely rough with my nose and actually caused it to start bleeding. I've read a great deal of reviews saying that he is caring, but I was really disappointed with the way he treated me. I spent a lot of money to get this procedure, and I was hoping he would be caring and make me feel comfortable but instead I felt rushed and uncomfortable. Many people can't even tell that my nose has had work on it, because he did it so naturally. Basically he's a good doctor at what he does, but he's EXTREMELY arrogant, never on time, rude, pushy (in the sense that he makes you agree with what he wants to do and that is the best possible decision), and did I mention arrogant? oh yeah, I did. I… really wanted to give him a chance, and thought he would become friendlier during my follow up visits, but it just didn't happen. Im very disheartened because I wanted to come back to him for more procedures, but I just can't handle that kind of "care".

I recently underwent a breast augmentation procedure.it was almost painless,i could lift my arms the same day ,washed my hair the next.I am so glad i found Dr.Ghavami ,he is very professional,knows what he is doing ,he made me feel very comfortable i knew i was in good hands .i was looking for the right surgeon over a year and felt good only when i found Dr.Ghavami..my friends were telling me that after breast augmentation i would have drains,bruises,would not be able to even open a door but with flash recovery beast augmentation i was able to do all that and had no drains or bruises .i would highly recommend Dr.Ghavami to all who wants to have plastic surgery done.it is your body ,it's precious and should be treated that way.don't be going after low price specials ,it will cost you your health or a second sugery might be needed to correct results.

Dr. Ghavami changed my life, and my body. He did such an amazing job that even I was taken back by the results of my buttock augmentation. I never had a butt per say but now, move over Kim Kardashian you have some competition, and its all due to Dr. Ghavmai. Thanks for everything!!
