Dr. Ashley Almeida

Ashley (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. She has professional counseling experience working in tandem with individuals seeking to discover, heal, and progress to their most authentic selves. Ashley seeks to provide an empathic understanding of the human condition to each person served and has vast experience treating individuals with anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorders, body-image concerns, relationship issues, and adolescent/adulthood life transitions. Ashley graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA with a Master’s in Professional Counseling. Sheemploys the use of holistic psychology in her therapeutic work and views each individual as a whole individual comprised of many complex parts, approaching the therapeutic relationship with warmth, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard. Engaging the use of Person-Centered Therapy from Carol Rogers (1940), Ashley trusts in each person’s infinite …capacity for self-actualization, growth, and integration.She uses her experience in relaxation/mindfulness to promote introspection and self-awareness for individuals in the therapeutic setting.
