Dr. Ashley Bennett Bowen, MD

Note this review is from the perspective of a wife of a patient who got a vasectomy. My husband and I both went to the consultation and Dr. Bowen told me I would be able to be with my husband during the procedure. We get to the office on the date of the procedure and the medical assistant who came to get my husband would not allow me back with him. I was told the room was too small and they'd get him prepped and that they'd come out to get me before the procedure. Fifteen minutes later, I asked the receptionist to check and then the medical assistant came to get me and stated that the procedure had just been completed. I've spoken with other wives of vasectomy patients at Urology Associates who stated they were able to be with their husbands during the procedure. Dr. Bowen, through his staff, lied to me. I wrote a letter to Dr. Bowen explaining my concerns and have not heard back from him. The staff at Urology Associates is shady and inconsistent and I would go elsewhere if I had… to do it again.

I had Robotic surgery for prostate cancer. Everything was explained to me before the surgery. Every thing he told me was correct and surgery was successful. If I had to have another one he is where I would go without hesitation.
