Dr. Ashley Keir Burchfield, MD

Dr. Burchfield is a very caring individual with a great bedside manner. She spends time with you which can be a problem if your appointment is later in the day when she may be running behind. Just be first on her schedule. Goes out of her way to make sure that I understand my everything regarding my care.

Taken quickly and thorough exam.

What a wonderful young professional, I was very much at ease with her despite her young age, She was attentive and appeared genuinely concerned with my issues. She was thorough and addressed all issues and explained all options available. She is terrific and possesses an excellent bedside manner she is very much patient oriented and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I think Dr. Burchfield is the best Dr. I have ever had. She is professional, spends plenty of time listening and helpful wit her diagnosis or willing to refer you if she feels it is needed. I appreciate her so much and feel that Huntsville Hospital is fortunate to have her on their staff. She is no longer at Heritage as it states here.

I'm new to the area and needed a general physician. I located Dr. Burchfield in my list of in-network physicians with my insurance carrier and called to schedule a routine exam. I was advised that the earliest she could see me was in 2 1/2 months...I reluctantly scheduled an appointment, which was simply going to be a review of my medical history! I was going to have to schedule another appointment for the actual exam. I figured she must be good, so this is the sacrifice I'll take right?! WRONG! I've waited patiently for my appointment and now they have to cancel / reschedule. I was told the earliest Dr. Burchfield could see me would be in another 3 months! Goodbye and good riddance!!!

One of the most caring Doctors I have ever seen. She is professional in every sense of the word and one can feel her care and concern. I appreciate her very much. I feel that Huntsville Hospital is trying to grow too fast and losing good doctors. I have had 3 in Internal Medicine since Dr. Wyatt and I am so glad I have found Dr. Burchfield. She is in Family Practice but I feel she is just as good, if not better, as any Internist.

The staff consistently lie about returning phone calls, and regardless of if you are an established patient, it is difficult to get in with Dr. Burchfield.

Called to find out why I have not had a follow-up scheduled after medicine was prescribed, staff acted like they were a telephone answering service. "If you would like to make an appointment.? My question was "Should I, shouldnt you know, isnt there a protocol to assess the results of the medicine hat was presscribed? The answer, would you like to make an appointment? I asked" Is there and email address I can have to write my concerns to the Doctor? Answer "No", and then silence. I have five family members who see this doctor, the amount of money I pay should net me at least an e-mail address or an answer as to the medication. What a ditz! Time to draw another doctor out of the hat.

Dr. Burchfield is an outstanding doctor in every sense of the word. She is a professional in her field, and above all she is courteous. Her staff is equally courteous and professional and they have followed up with me after each of my visits with her in a timely manner. They also call me one day in advance to inform me that I have an appointment with her on the following business day.

Although I was completely satisfied with my first visit with Dr. Burchfield, dealing with the office personnel was a nightmare. Phone calls were not returned on numerous occasions and no one assumes any responsibility. I will be going elsewhere.
