Dr. Ashley Elizabeth Davis

Long review, but please read! Dr Ashley Davis is a political activist and unkind practitioner. Dr Davis begin our appointment by telling both my husband and me that we were very "lucky" she was able to see us both at the same time. She said that from now on we had to schedule separate time slots. I explained the front desk said it was perfectly fine when I called because two slots in a row were available. What I did not say is that common sense dictates that seeing two patients together who are married is both efficient and cost-effective certainly because our insurance will pay her for both sessions and she only has to do one. We've never had a problem with any other doctors or specialists before with this issue. Things took an immediate turn for the worst when she began to demean and belittle my husband when he didn't know all of the exact names of his medications. Dr Davis had a list of all of his medications in front of her on her laptop. I was right there with her and him and was… perfectly capable of telling her which medications he'd like refilled. She was quizzing him to prove a point. She told him that "adults are expected to know what types of medications they take without help from others and should take responsibility for their own health." I realize it's a little bit stereotypical but my husband depends on me to remember all of these things like a lot of husbands do. The way that she made him feel so small and stupid was so emasculating. I felt terrible for him. When she said, "What if your wife were to die in a car accident what would you do then?" I almost fainted. I couldn't believe she would say something so morbid. The only word I could utter in response was "Yikes!" and sort of laugh awkwardly. Then when it came time to talk to us about flu shots and Covid vaccines, Dr Davis lectured us and argued with us about Dr Anthony Fauci. She seems to think he is a hero in the medical field. She's very political in her beliefs and she would not allow us to present our side of things. We are not against vaccines, but we are interested in more information before we make that choice. It is our own choice. The moment my husband said he didn't trust the vaccine and Dr Fauci, she became belligerent with us and said he is a "great scientist and a revered author." Her hands were shaking and I could visibly see her anger as she was listening to my chest and my breathing with a stethoscope. I became very nervous and simply said, "Let us agree to disagree," and I had a very kind smile on my face to diffuse the situation. She continued on and told me that there was to be "no disagreement that he is a published scientist and revered doctor and has paved the way for doctors like me." I had nothing left to say the rest of the visit. Nothing could have diffused her anger. Dr Davis has always been a bit demeaning to us at our appointments, but my husband always helped me laugh it off as the common doctor arrogance mentality. And we're laid back people, so we kept going because she's very close to home and is efficient. But this was quite unacceptable. Never before have we been treated this way by a doctor. I'm quite shocked and we will never, ever see her again.
