Dr. Ashley Elizabeth Haggerty, MD

This surgeon was not easy to talk with comfortably before the procedure and did not want to see or talk to me until 6 weeks after a major procedure. She also did not want to know about issues that I had after what she did on me, saying "that was how it was" and it took many months of going to multiple places elsewhere before everything was able to be resolved positively.

At initial visit this doctor examined me and emphatically Told me that I had a serious disease, and planning for surgery had begun. This was said without the benefit of any lab results. I sought a second opinion and I was and remain disease free. I believe Dr Haggerty was sincerely concerned but this did alarm me. I always believed in second opinions before having major surgery.

Dr. Haggerty is very kind and friendly in person. She does take her time to listen to you however I do not feel she follows up after your procedure. Didn’t get to see her post op in recovery and also didn’t get a call back or follow up after a complication just to see how I am doing. Even when her nurse said she will send information or call the ER To let them know I am coming that did not happen. Currently I am doing well, after another doctor fixed the issues. I can tell the difference between this doctor and the other doctor’s level of experience.
