Ashley Michelle Dixon, APRN-CNP

Ashley Michelle Dixon, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine. She chose the specialty because it allows her to treat a variety of patients at different stages in their lifetime. Michelle’s inspiration to become a nurse began in her youth. “I grew up watching the nurses in my family do amazing work for their communities and I always wanted to emulate them,” she said. Now, providing care as a nurse practitioner, she believes in people-first medicine. “It is my passion to align treatment plans with my patient’s personal goals,” she said. When it comes to common questions, Michelle said, “I often get asked how I deal with the more difficult areas of health care, and I really attribute the way I was raised to who I am today. Growing up on a ranch, my parents taught my brother and I hard work and resiliency.” Michelle’s hobbies outside of work still include ranch work. She really enjoys spending time with her family, working cattle and riding horses and mules.
